A Mega Surgical Eye Camp was successfully conducted at Dhankaul, Sarlahi from Poush 03-06, 2082 with the generous support from Ruit Foundation, Kathmandu, Lions Club of Kathmandu, Araniko, Multipurpose Finance Limited, Janakpur and Baijanath Aama Tatha Baal Hospital, Dhankaul, Sarlahi.
The camp was led by Senior Ophthalmologist Dr. Deepak Khadka and his team.

Camp Highlights

Total Outpatients Examined: 850 (free medicines provided as needed)
Total Successful Cataract Surgeries: 305
All operated patients received medicines along with black goggles.

We extend our special thanks to Mr. Hari Om Makaju, President of Lions Club of Kathmandu, Araniko and all the helping hands who selflessly contributed to making this camp a great success.
Together, we restored vision and brought hope to many lives🙏🙏🙏

Meet Tara Murmu, a 65-year-old woman from an indigenous disadvantaged community in Ratuwamai-1, Kalyanpur, Morang.

For the past 3 months, she had been living in complete darkness due to cataracts in both eyes. Everyday life had become a struggle.

After successful cataract surgeries, Tara regained her sight in both eyes at Purbanchal Eye ENT and Rehabilitation Services Sautha , Ratuwamai ,Morang .
Her joy, emotions, and newfound hope are truly heart-touching.

Alongside her treatment, a cataract surgical camp was successfully conducted at Ratuwamai, Sautha with the support of Ruit Foundation. The camp was led by a dedicated surgical team under the leadership of Dr. Samata Sharma.
