बडा दशैँ अन्तर्गत आज नवरात्रको दोस्रो दिन, शक्तिपीठहरुमा माता भगवती ब्रह्मचारिणीको विशेष पूजाअर्चना गरिँदै छ ।

ब्रह्मचारिणी देवीलाई ब्रहम विद्या शक्तिकी माताको रुपमा पूजाअर्चना गर्ने प्रचलन छ । ब्रह्मचारिणीदेवीको आराधनाले व्यक्तिलाई ब्रह्म अनुसार आचरण गर्ने शक्ति प्राप्त भई ब्रह्मचार्य जस्तो परम पदमा पुग्न सकिने शास्त्रहरुमा उल्लेख छ ।

सांसारिक मायामोहको जञ्जालबाट मुक्त गराई व्यक्तिलाई ज्ञानमा आकर्षित गरी मानव चोला सार्थक बनाउन साधकलाई ब्रह्मचारिणी देवीको अनुकम्पा आवश्यक हुने बताइएको छ । ब्रह्मचारिणी देवीलाई भक्तिको प्रतीक मानिन्छ ।
