बिराटनगर मा वी.पी. कोइराला स्वास्थ्य विज्ञान प्रतिष्ठान (BPKIHS) अन्तर्गत सञ्चालित ई-हेल्थ तथा टेलिमेडिसिन कार्यक्रम मार्फत कोशी प्रदेशका १४ जिल्लाका २३१ जना महिला सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य स्वयंसेविका (FCHV) हरु एकै ठाउँमा भेला भई महत्वपूर्ण कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न भएको छ । यस कार्यक्रममा कोशी प्रदेशका ५६ वटा पालिका का १ सय भन्दा बढी स्वास्थ्य संस्थासँग आबद्ध FCHV हरु सहभागी हुनु भएको थियो।
Something really special happened today at Hotel Harrision, Biratnagar
Under B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) e-Health & Telemedicine Program, 231 Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs) from all 14 districts of Koshi Province gathered together in one place.
This telemedicine program is connected with more than 100 health institutions from 56 municipalities of Koshi Province, which is a big step for better rural healthcare services
Presentations on Telemedicine were delivered by: Prof. Dr. Narendra Bhatta, Dr. Pramendra Prasad Gupta, Er. Rakesh Kumar Das and Anish Bhattarai. The Director of Health Directorate, Koshi Province, Mr. Gyan Bahadur Basnet, also warmly appreciated the valuable contribution of FCHVs in Nepal’s health sector.

Our Telemedicine Service is now scattered across every corner of Koshi Province — from the hot plains of Haldibari PHC, Jhapa to the icy heights of Mount Everest (Pasang Lhamu Municipality, Solukhumbu). ❄️⛰️

We’re proud to be bridging the healthcare gap between:
🛤️ The Nepal-India border (Phalaelung Gaunpalika, Panchthar) and
🗻 The Nepal-China border (Meringden Gaunpalika, Taplejung)!

We’re reaching even the most remote hills of Bhojpur, the valleys of Dhankuta, and the vibrant communities of Ilam, Morang, Okhaldhunga, Udayapur, and beyond.

This isn’t just a project.

कोशी प्रदेशका विभिन्न १०० वटा स्वास्थ्य केन्द्रहरूमा सञ्चालन हुन लागेको टेलिमेडिसिन कार्यक्रममा लागी आवेदन खुल्ला गरीएको छ ।

A telemedicine initiative by BPKIHS and Geneva University Hospital that connects rural health posts in Nepal with specialists to improve access to healthcare for underserved communities, focusing on women, the elderly, and primary care.
