Here are indications for 5 homoeopathic remedies that are useful for patients suffering with primary focal hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

1. Sulphur:
Excessive sweating on palms, soles, and underarms. Hot, sweaty hands. Warm-blooded, thirsty for large quantities; milk disagrees. Worse with heat, worse with washing and bathing, worse with standing. Body orifices are red (eg. red lips, red a**s). All discharges are acrid, excoriating whrever they touch. Prone to itchy, burning, flaky, dry skin diseases. Itching from warmth. 2. Calcarea carbonica:

They are late with the eruption of teeth and have difficulty with teething.
3. Silica:
Profuse sweating of head, hands, feet, and underarms. The sweat of the feet can be quite offensive. (Remember Silica when parents complain of their child's stinky feet.) Silica patients tend to be cold, chilly, and lacking in vital heat. People who need this remedy may also have white spots on the nails and in-grown toenails. They tend to be very thirsty. Children who need this remedy are rather weak, yielding, faint-hearted, and anxious. They tend to have large heads and distended abdomens, and they can be slow to walk.
4. Lycopodium:
Sticky and offensive perspiration of the feet and underarms. People needing this remedy are worse between 4pm and 8pm, worse with heat, worse in a warm room, and worse from warm applications (exception: throat and stomach problems are better with warm drinks). Homeopathic Medicines for Psoriasis

1. Arsenic Album –For Silver Scales
The chief indicator for using Arsenic Album is the presence of dry, rough, red papular eruptions with scales on it. The scales are silver colored. The eruptions cover most parts of the body, except face and hands. The eruptions spread rapidly and are accompanied by itching. Cold worsens the itching in most cases, while warmth seems to relieve it. Pain on the affected skin arises after scratching the eruptions. Bleeding spots also appear on the skin following scratching.
Restlessness is another symptom that may be present. Yet another symptom is marked anxiety that accompanies itchy eruptions. Arsenic Album also works well in cases of guttate Psoriasis. In guttate Psoriasis, small rose coloured spots with scales appear.

2. Graphites Naturalis – For Cracked Skin
Cases where Graphites Naturalis works well tend to have patches of sore, dry, rough skin with scales. An inclination to develop cracks on the surface may also be there. Following scratching, stickiness on the skin may appear. Graphites Naturalis is also useful for cases of scalp Psoriasis. In such cases, eruptions with scales appear on the scalp. The scalp may be sore to touch, with distressing itching. One may also feel a burning sensation on the top of the head. Eruptions on the scalp can also spread behind the ears. In cases of nail Psoriasis, the characteristic features are rough, thick and deformed nails.

3. Arsenic Iodatum – For Shedding of Large Scales
Arsenic Iodatum is used when there is shedding of large scales from the skin eruptions. The skin is covered with inflamed patches with scales on them. There is persistent itching in the patches and the shedding of the scales leaves raw skin behind.

4. Sulphur – For Intense Itching and Burning
Sulphur helps in cases with severe itching and burning in the psoriatic skin lesions. A violent itching attends, and the person goes on scratching the skin until it bleeds. A burning sensation follows scratching. The itching is wandering, and changes place frequently. The skin is rough, scaly and gets painful after rubbing as if denuded. The symptoms tend to get worse in the evening and at night, when in bed. Sleep is disturbed because of the itching and burning sensation. Other accompanying symptoms are pricking, biting and sticking sensation in the eruptions. Sulphur is also a remedy for skin ailments with a history of excessive use of ointments in the past.

5. Petroleum Oleum – For Deep Cracks
Petroleum Oleum is a very suitable remedy for Psoriasis where deep cracks appear on the skin. There is a burning sensation and intolerable itching on the affected skin. Bleeding may also be present in the cracks. The skin is intensely sore, painful, hard, fissured and slow to heal. A crawling sensation on the skin may also attend over and above the given symptoms.

6. Sepia Succus – For Large Oval Lesions
Sepia Succus is a beneficial medicine for Psoriasis characterised by the presence of big oval lesions on the skin. The lesions are reddish papules and are isolated. There are shiny, whitish and adhesive scales present on the papules. Itching arises in the eruptions. On scratching, a burning sensation on the skin follows. The eruptions are present over the face, chest, back, arms and legs. In the case of limbs, the extensor surfaces are mostly involved.

7. Merc Sol – For Scalp Psoriasis
Merc Sol is a medicine for Psoriasis of the scalp. In typical cases, the scalp is covered with abundant white scales. The base underneath the scales is raw. The scales, which shed rapidly, re-form again and again. An intense itching, which is worse at night, accompanies. The skin of the scalp is also sensitive to touch. An excessive sweat (which may be sour smelling) may also be present on the scalp. Hairfall may also appear in few cases along with above symptoms.

MORE FREQUENTLY INDICATED HOMOEOPATHIC REMEDIES FOR INFLUENZA

1. ACONITUM: This medicine should only be considered within 24 hours of the onset of symptoms. These patients experience a sudden onset of fever with chills. They become easily chilled from uncovering and get the chills shortly after getting in bed. They have a rapid and hard pulse, and either have a flushed face or one that alternates between being pale and being red.

2. ANAS BARBARIAE: Controlled scientific studies have proven this remedy effective in treating the flu. It is particularly effective if it is taken during the first 48 hours of onset of the flu. Some homeopaths consider it a generic homeopathic remedy for the flu, though other homeopaths find that it is primarily helpful when the flu has a rapid onset, bursting headache, a painful cough, or when flu symptoms begin after being exposed to a cold wind.

3. ARSENICUM: These patients have a rapid onset of a high fever, along with a weak but restless feeling. They are apt to have a concurrent headache, cold, sore throat, digestive disorder, or most commonly, diarrhea. They have great thirst but only for sips of water at a time. They are very chilly.

4. BELLADONNA: A distinguishing symptom of children who need this medicine is a flushed face and reddened mucous membranes, especially lips and gums. They have a sudden onset of high fever with a hot head and cold extremities. Parents can feel a radiating heat from the child’s head. The children have a dry heat (without perspiration), a strong and bounding pulse, and may see hallucinations when their eyes are closed. They toss and turn in their sleep and may suffer from scary dreams.

5. BRYONIA: When patients have a slow onset of a fever that is typified by body aches which are worse by motion, this medicine should be considered. These patients have a great thirst for cold fluids. They are aggravated by warm rooms and warmth and prefer cool rooms and open air. They have a dry mouth and great thirst, especially for cold drinks. They tend to have a headache in the front part of their head which is aggravated by any motion. These patients are irritable and are averse to sympathy.

6. EUPATORIUM PERFOLIATUM: A characteristic symptom of patients who need this remedy is aching in the bones which is worse from motion. These patients may experience chills at any time, but the chills tend to be worst in the morning between 7 and 9 a.m. and are preceded by a thirst and great soreness, especially of the back. Despite their chilliness, they crave cold drinks and even ice cream.

7. FERRUM PHOS: This medicine is primarily for the first stage of fever. The fever does not have the suddenness or intensity related to Aconitum or Belladonna, nor the degree of weariness of Gelsemium or the irritability of Bryonia.

8: GELSEMIUM: This is one of the most common medicines for influenza. These children suffer from great weakness and heaviness of the body. They are sometimes only able to open their eyes halfway because even their eyelids feel heavy. They have general achiness and a headache in the back of the head. They are aggravated by motion, not necessarily because it hurts to move but mostly because they feel so weak that motion exhausts them. They are also chilly and seek to stay warm. One of their unique symptoms is a sense of relief after urination. Another characteristic symptom is their lack of thirst. This medicine is also commonly effective for children who have lingering symptoms, especially fatigue, after having the flu.

9. INFLUENZINUM: This remedy can be taken once a month during the flu season to prevent onset of this condition. It is also helpful if a child has symptoms that linger after experiencing the flu.

10. RHUS TOX: These patients experience achiness and stiffness that is aggravated by rest or by initial motion and relieved by continued motion. Because of this relief from continued motion, they seem restless and toss and turn. Their fever and aches become worse at night and in bed. In addition to stiffness in the back or neck, they may feel aching in the bones. They may also have a dry cough or sneezing which is aggravated by cold or by uncovering. Their fever may alternate with chills. A rare but important keynote symptom of this medicine is a brightly red tipped tongue.

1. ALLIUM CEPA
Try this remedy when nasal mucus irritates your nose or upper lip; your eyes are runny but the discharge is bland and non-irritating; you feel worse from warm rooms, and better in open air.

5. SABADILLA
Symptoms for this remedy include an itchy nose; violent, debilitating sneezing; runny eyes that become worse in cold outdoor air and from flower pollen; symptoms are better from warm drinks and warm rooms.

6. WYETHIA
