Supta Virasana - Reclining Hero Pose is a supine YogAsana - posture, which influences the kidneys and bladder meridians

This pose involves a reclined backward bend, which activates the muscles of the back and opens the front of the body from the feet to the chest

SuptaVirasana activates and regulates the functioning of the Fire element of the Solar Plexus, called Manipura Chakra, which controls Pitta dosha - constitution and prevents diseases resulting from its imbalance

Ayurveda explains: Pitta Dosha is associated with a tenacious personality, based on the fire and water elements, commonly described as hot, light, sharp, oily, liquid, and mobile - summer is known as pitta season for its sunny, hot and long days

People with pitta are said to usually have a muscular build, be very athletic, and serve as strong leaders and highly motivated, goal-oriented, and competitive

Their aggressive and tenacious nature can be off-putting to some people, which can lead to disagreements and conflicts

Strengths: intelligent, purposeful, learns quickly, self-determined, masters skills easily, strong desire for success, strong, natural leaders, quick metabolism, good circulation, healthy skin and hair

Weaknesses: impatient, prone to conflict, always hungry, mood swings when hungry, prone to acne and inflammation, sensitive to hot temperatures

Those with a pitta-dominant dosha should focus on work-life balance and avoid extreme heat

:
There are three Sanskrit terms in uttana padasana. In Sanskrit
Uttana=Intense stretch or lying on the back with the face-up,
Pada=foot or leg and
Asana=pose.

:
1.Avoid this posture if there is any injury in the neck, back, pelvis, or leg muscles.
2.Pregnant women must refrain from this pose.
3.People suffering from severe spondylitis.
4.Patients with cardiac diseases or abnormal blood pressure.
5.If you have undergone hernia-repair surgery, wait at least two weeks before practicing this pose.
5.If you have a migraine, then do not practice it with an aching back.

:
