The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene has asked students for submitting an essay on 'What is the most important emerging challenge for global health over the next 5 years and how could this be overcome?'. The prize for the winning essay is £200, plus a year's free student membership to RSTMH. The winner will also be presented with a certificate and their prize fund at an RSTMH event in 2024. NIHR Global Health Research Centre for Multiple Long-Term Conditions is a research collaboration of Kathmandu Medical College (Nepal) with the University of Leicester (UK) and Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI). Currently, we are recruiting one Project Manager to oversee and manage the project, with the base office in Kathmandu and field works in Bhaktapur and Kavre districts.

A study published in the Lancet has shown that dietician-led intervention improved glycemic control, improved macronutrient intake, and clinical outcomes among people with type 2 diabetes. The study recommended that dietician-led intervention may be considered for diabetes management in LMICs.
