Lions Eye Hospital formally commenced its contribution to eye care services, in 1984 with the opening of the Lions eye Care Center, in a Small rented room in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu to offer a verity of eye care services to the poor and economically week people from different parts of the country, the Lions Eye Hospital was later transformed into a full fledge 15 bed eye hospital named Lion Eye Hospital since 2012.
