Krishna Janmashtami is a Hindu festival celebrated with great fervor to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna, who is revered as the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It usually falls in the month of August or September. Devotees fast, sing devotional songs, and reenact scenes from Krishna's life, especially his childhood escapades. Dahi Handi, a popular tradition, involves forming human pyramids to break a pot filled with curd, symbolizing Krishna's love for butter. It is an absolute honor that WHO Nepal Representative Rajesh Sambhajirao Pandav invited our Founder and Nepal Health Corps team to the WHO Country Office, where we share about Health Corps initiatives for Health professionals and Community services to localize UHC 2030 and Promote Health Equity. It was also a perfect occasion to learn in-depth about the works, structure, and programs of WHO Nepal from the County Representative and Senior Leads.
