We do recommend you to start the detox program during the course.
Rahul is very much intuitive tuned into the needs of the students and gives the students space to bring in their personal questions related to their health and life issues. During the last 40 years as a therapist, Rahul has gained a very comprehensive experience about all kinds of subjects that are part of human life and it’s his wish to make you conscious and guide you wherever is desirable.
MEDITATION
Meditation doesn't always mean sitting in silence. Rahul teaches 'No mind exercises' which were practiced by Siddhartha Gautama (The Buddha) to separate the mind from the body and energy. This separation makes them all equal. It quiets the mind and it makes you conscious of yourself.
ANCIENT MASSAGE
Ancient massage originated 2600 years ago in the time of the Buddha. It is better known under the name Traditional Thai massage, Nuad Phaen Boran of Thai Yoga massage. Whatever the name is, it is an extraordinary method of aligning the energies of the body.
The massage consists of a combination of stretches, pressure points and 'tai chi' movements given on a mat on the floor. There is no use of oil as the receiver wears loose, comfortable clothes.
Due to the beautiful, flowing connections between the movements, the whole massage looks and feels like a meditative dance.
At the course you will learn to give an ancient massage which is thought of the most closest to the original ancient massage, created by Dr. Jivaka Kumar Baccha, the doctor of the Buddha.
New students will learn level 1, a massage of 1,5 hours and consists of the feet, belly, arms, hands, head, neck and face.
Old students can move on to level 2, which is another 1,5 hours in the side, back and sitting position. When students are very good at level 1 and 2, there is also level 3. Level 3 includes level 1 and 2 and now you will learn the full 6,5 hours of massage.
ANCIENT YOGA STRETCHES
The practice of ancient yoga stretches creates a perfect balance between flexibility and strengthening of your muscles. It helps to prevent, improve or even remove many physical ailments.
From the 4 hours of ancient yoga stretches that have been taught to the students of the Buddha, Rahul has made a selection of 1,5 hours of the most beneficial exercises.
It's an excellent workout for the ancient massage therapist as it will help to give the massage pain free. Next to that, in addition to your massage work, now you can give the client the tools to help themselves in the part that we can not do for them, which is strengthening their muscles and gaining more flexibility with stretching on a regular basis.
DANCING WITH THE WIND
'Dancing with the wind' is a short energetic practice that looks like Tai Chi. It helps the massage therapist to learn the feeling of a flow in the massage. It is a great meditative practice and will also balance your energy.
SOUND HEALING WITH SINGING BOWLS
What we can not heal with the hands, we can do with the singing bowls!
Singing bowls are a very powerful tool to work with energy and it is also one of the most relaxed treatment forms. Rahul explains how the singing bowls work and teaches to give an energetic massage with sound vibration by the use of the singing bowls.
THE TEACHER
Rahul Bharti, born in India, started his career as a therapist at an unusually young age by learning the art of ancient massage in Chiang Mai, Thailand. His wish to help others and curiosity towards healing techniques, especially with the human body's energetic system, was supported by his father who gave him the opportunity to learn and live with various tribes and healers in India, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Later on gathering knowledge and developing his intuitive insight, he studied and practiced in the north and south of Thailand with local healers.
For many years Rahul has been sharing his experience in the field of healing by teaching ancient healing at his school, The Healing Hands Center, in Nepal.
