A New Dawn has broken over Nepal-a dawn painted with the colors of hope, resilience, and renewal. With the formation of the new government under Ms. Sushila Karki, we step into a new day of justice, accountability, and the power of the new generation. It is the beginning of a new era where the voices of the young are no longer whispers in the wind but the thundering heartbeat of the nation. Gen-Z, with their unyielding courage and clarity of vision, have stood at the forefront of change, proving that the spirit of youth can rewrite history. Alongside them, we acknowledge the role of the Nepali Army that played a vital role in mediating peace and preventing further bloodshed, guiding the nation through its most fragile hours. As we all embrace this New Nepal, let us bow our heads in solemn condolence to the brave young souls who sacrificed their lives and to those who were wounded in the struggle. Their valor shall forever illuminate our path, reminding us that out of pain and turmoil blossoms a brighter tomorrow, where the dreams of the fallen are carried forward by the living. NEPAS has always spoken for the heath and rights of children of this country and forever will do so.

Health authorities are scaling up a multi-pronged response to rapidly contain the cholera outbreak by enhancing coordination, strengthening case detection and surveillance, strengthening case management, facilitating information management and reporting, promoting safe water, sanitation and hygiene. Protect yourself and your loved ones from cholera by adopting safe practices: drink safe water, wash hands regularly, and cook food thoroughly.

02/09/2025

Though the pace of the spread of cholera has slowed, people are still getting infected. Cholera is a highly infectious disease that causes severe diarrhoea and vomiting, which can lead to dehydration and death within a few hours if left untreated World Health Organization Nepal Ministry of Health and Population-Nepal

Nepal often witnesses outbreaks of water- and food-borne diseases, including cholera, during the monsoon season as floodwaters contaminate most of the drinking water sources and children remain at high risk.

31/08/2025

Let us scale up an urgent response to contain the outbreak and prevent further spread of Cholera by adapting recommended hygiene and sanitation practices, including drinking only boiled, chlorinated or otherwise treated water; washing hands frequently with soap and safe water (especially before eating and after using the toilet); and seeking immediate medical care if symptoms such as watery diarrhea or vomiting appear.
