🌸 What Is Dharma?
Dharma means the teachings of the Buddha.
It shows us how to live a good life, be kind, and understand the truth about ourselves and the world.
Dharma helps us to be happy, peaceful, and free from suffering.
⸻
🪷 What Did the Buddha Teach in the Dharma?
The Buddha gave many teachings, but here are the most important ones that everyone, even children, can remember:
⸻
1. Be Kind and Don’t Harm Others
The Buddha taught us to treat all living beings with love and respect.
Just like we don’t want to be hurt, others don’t want to be hurt either.
🌼 Example: If someone is sad, be a good friend. If you feel angry, take a deep breath and calm down.
⸻
2. Tell the Truth and Be Honest
The Buddha said it’s important to be truthful and not lie.
Being honest builds trust and helps us feel good inside.
🌼 Example: If you break something, tell the truth, even if it’s hard.
⸻
3. Share and Be Generous
When we give and share, we make others happy—and that makes us happy too.
It doesn’t have to be big—just a smile or a kind word is also giving.
🌼 Example: Share your toys, your time, or a kind word with someone who needs it.
⸻
4. Be Calm and Think Before Acting
The Buddha taught us to be mindful—to notice our thoughts and feelings before we act.
When we do this, we make better choices.
🌼 Example: If you feel like shouting, stop, breathe, and choose a peaceful way to speak.
⸻
5. Try to Understand Things Clearly
The Buddha said that when we understand how life works, we won’t be confused or upset so easily.
He taught that everything changes, and nothing lasts forever—so it’s okay to let go.
🌼 Example: Like a toy that breaks or a friend who moves away—everything changes, and that’s part of life.

🌈 Why Is Dharma Important?
Dharma helps us be the best version of ourselves.
It teaches us how to live with love, peace, wisdom, and joy.
Even when things are hard, Dharma gives us strength and hope.
