This photo was recently clicked at Outreach Microsurgical Eye Clinic held at Phullari Gumba, Kapan.

From 13–15 June 2025, a team from the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology (TIO), led by Dr. Sanduk Ruit, successfully performed 402 cataract surgeries during an Outreach Microsurgical Eye Clinic (OMEC) held at Pullahari Monastery, Kapan. This marked the 36th eye clinic hosted at the monastery by TIO — a testament to a longstanding commitment to accessible eye care through continued collaboration.

Ahead of the OMEC, TIO’s technical team conducted extensive screening camps across Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kavre and Dhading districts, identifying individuals living with cataract blindness.

TIO extends its sincere gratitude to Ananda Sangh for their continued partnership, and to other trusted partners, including volunteers from Nepal Scouts for their dedicated support throughout the outreach.

नेपाली झन्डा र डा. रुइट :
कपनस्थित पुलाहारी गुम्बामा गत शुक्रबारदेखि आइतबारसम्म चलेको आँखा शिविरमा मोतियाविन्दु भएका ४०२ बिरामीको शल्यक्रिया गरिएको थियो । निवारणयोग्य अन्धोपनको कारण रहेको मोतियाविन्दुको शल्यक्रिया गराउनका लागि "झन्डा बाजे" उपमाबाट चिनिएका लक्ष्मिनाराणय शिल्पकार पनि शिविरमा आइपुग्नुभएको थियो । सधैं नेपाली झन्डा फहराउने शिल्पकार विश्वभर नेपाली झन्डा नै बोकेर पुगिरहेको नेपालमै उत्पादित लेन्स प्रत्यारोपण गर्न पाउँदा हर्षित हुनुभयो । तिलगंगा आँखा अस्पतालको प्राविधिक सहयोगमा तीन दिन चलेको उक्त आँखा शिविरको नेतृत्व डा. सन्दुक रुइटले गर्नुभएको थियो । उहाँलाई साथ दिनका लागि डा. सागर रुइट, डा. मोहिनी श्रेष्ठ र तिलगंगाका प्राविधिक टोली खटिएको थियो ।
