Urgent Drug Recall Notice: The Department of Drug Administration (DDA), Nepal has issued an urgent recall for Levoflox-500 Tablet (Levofloxacin Tablet IP), Batch No. BB24001, from Magnus Pharma Pvt. Ltd.

The product failed the dissolution test as per IP 2022 standards. Do not recommend, sell, distribute, or use this specific batch.

On 2082/09/17, Drug Information Center NEPAL (DIC, Nepal) successfully conducted a one-day orientation and workshop for third-year Diploma in Pharmacy students from Ratna Kumar Bantawa Polytechnic Institute, Sakhejung, Ilam, at phect central Office, Bagbazar.

The session primarily focused on an overview of the Drug Information Center, highlighting its need, objectives, and core activities in supporting the rational use of medicines. In addition, demonstrations of some medical devices were conducted to strengthen students’ practical understanding. Active student participation made the session engaging and meaningful.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the PHECT–ICD Department for their support and for providing certification, which enriched the learning experience.

🌍 World Antimicrobial Awareness Week- WAAW 2025

To mark WAAW 2025, We conducted an AMR awareness initiative by setting up information desks at Kathmandu Model Hospital (KMH) and Kirtipur Hospital (KPH). The aim was to inform patients and visitors about the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and promote the responsible use of antimicrobials.

This program was made possible through the dedication of our team members and volunteers. Your hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment were key to engaging the public and spreading important AMR messages.
