Important Notice from the Department of Drug Administration, Nepal! 🇳🇵

Starting Baisakh 2, 2083 BS, entry cards will be mandatory for all representatives/employees of drug manufacturing and importing companies visiting the department.

To facilitate this, all concerned companies are requested to submit the details of their official representative by Chaitra 30, 2082 BS.

Details required:
- Representative's Name, Address, National ID/Citizenship Number, and two PP-size photos
- Company/Firm Name, Address, and Type

Note: Entry cards are not required for service seekers coming for pharmacy registration, renewal, or business permits, nor for students visiting for study/tours.

Influenza Vaccine Update 2026–2027 (Northern Hemisphere)
The World Health Organization has recommended the trivalent seasonal influenza vaccine to ensure effective protection against circulating viruses.

The vaccine targets:
• Influenza A (H1N1)pdm09-like virus
• Influenza A (H3N2)-like virus
• Influenza B (Victoria lineage)-like virus

Vaccine composition may vary slightly depending on the manufacturing platform (egg-based vs cell culture/recombinant technologies), but all formulations are designed to provide protection against the most prevalent strains.

Annual influenza vaccination remains the most effective way to prevent severe illness, complications, and hospitalization, especially among high-risk groups such as children, older adults, pregnant women, and people with chronic diseases.

जापानीज ईन्सेफलाइटिस (JE) लामखुट्टेको टोकाइबाट सर्ने, मस्तिष्कमा संक्रमण हुने एक गम्भीर किसिमको रोग हो।
नेपालमा JE संक्रमित बिरामीमध्ये करिब ३०% सम्मको ज्यान जाने र अर्को ३०% कुनै न कुनै रूपमा अपाङ्ग हुने गरेको तथ्याङ्क छ।

An urgent drug recall notice issued by the Department of Drug Administration (DDA), Government of Nepal, published on 2082/10/01 BS. The notice mandates the immediate halt of sale, distribution, and use of following specific batches of paracetamol infusions found to be substandard after testing by the National Medicines Laboratory.

The recalled products are:
Axapara-100ml (Paracetamol Infusion 100ml)
Batch No.: AB50335
Reason: Does not comply with IP 2022 standards for the Sterility Test.
Manufacturer: Axa Parenterals Ltd, India.

Abamol-100ml (Paracetamol Infusion 100ml)
Batch No.: RB544502
Reason: Does not comply with IP 2022 standards for the Sterility Test.
Manufacturer: Abaris Healthcare Pvt. Ltd, India.

The DDA has instructed the relevant manufacturers, importers, and representatives to immediately recall these batches from the market and submit details to the department.

Medicine: ENCLAVE OD (Amoxicillin + Clavulanate Potassium Tablet IP)
Batch No: TEOD-026
Manufacturer: Curex Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd.

Reason: Failed to meet IP 2022 standards for assay (Amoxicillin & Clavulanic acid) and dissolution (Amoxicillin).

Public, healthcare professionals, and suppliers are strongly advised NOT to use, sell, or distribute this specific batch. Please check your stock immediately.
