This year, Dr Saurav Thapa was awarded with ‘JMT Best Thesis’ award.

On the occasion of World Heart Day 2025, Healthy Heart Nepal in coordination with Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center (MCVTC), Lions Club of Kaski and Jayanti Memorial Trust organized a free cardiac camp at Annapurna VDC, Kaski. During the camp, a total of 425 individuals underwent health screenings, with 419 echocardiograms (ECHO) and 249 electrocardiograms (ECG) performed. Following the evaluations, 7 patients were referred to for further diagnosis and treatment. The camp successfully contributed to raising awareness and promoting preventive cardiac health in the community.

Jayanti Memorial Trust, in collaboration with Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre (SGNHC) and Krishna Pranami Baijuraj Mahila Samiti Nepal, organized a free heart camp at Gothatar. During the camp, 228 individuals, including school students and senior citizens residing at Krishna Pranami Orphanage Home, underwent free health screenings. A total of 215 echocardiograms (ECHOs) were conducted, and 2 individuals were referred to SGNHC for further diagnosis and specialized care. Special focus was given to senior citizens, encouraging them to adopt heart-healthy habits, manage existing health conditions, and remain socially and physically active to maintain overall cardiovascular well-being.

With cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) being the leading cause of death across the globe, this day aims to inspire people, communities to adopt heart-healthy habits and take collective action. In 2025, World Heart Day remains a call to prioritize cardiovascular well-being and educate communities on how lifestyle changes can prevent heart-related conditions. This unified observance encourages everyone to understand the risks, prioritize prevention, and support heart health initiatives.

On the occasion of Teej ie “Go Red for Women 2025”, Jayanti Memorial Trust successfully organized a free screening program at Pashupatinath Temple, where a total of 318 individuals were screened. The program was especially focused on women, highlighting the importance of heart health awareness and preventive care. The event proved to be fruitful in encouraging the community, particularly women, to prioritize their heart health.
