Yesterday, PICS Nepal (Pokhara) had the privilege to moderate an important session on “Equipping Teachers and Parents for Crisis Response and Emotional Support,” organized by Fishtail Academy – IB World School.

We are truly grateful to Fishtail Academy for providing this platform and for considering such a timely and much-needed session. 🌿

The session was facilitated by Dr. Amit Jha (Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist) and Mr. Nabin Joshi (Counseling Psychologist, CEO of PICS Nepal), with our Program Director, Ms. Samjhana Parajuli, moderating the discussion. Together, they created a meaningful space to reflect on the vital role of teachers and parents in supporting children during times of crisis. 💙

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to the facilitators and our moderator for making this session impactful and engaging.

Do you need a "serious" reason to seek therapy? Let’s talk about it.

In this video, we’re breaking down a common misconception about mental health support. Many people believe therapy is only for “serious problems,” but the truth is different. Sometimes, you might just need short-term counseling to deal with stress, relationships, or everyday struggles. Other times, long-term psychotherapy may be helpful for deeper or ongoing challenges not necessarily serious problems.

Seeking help doesn’t always mean something is “wrong” with you - it means you care about your well-being. 💛
What do you think - should therapy be normalized as part of self-care? Let us know in the comments!
