📢 Findings Dissemination Program

On 30th June 2025, TPO Nepal successfully organized the Findings Dissemination Program for the Wellcome Trust-funded research project titled “Improving Help-Seeking for Depression Care in Nepal: Development and Testing the Feasibility, Acceptability, and Appropriateness of a Social Contact-Based Community Intervention.”

Key Findings: The intervention was well-received by both FCHVs and community members. Visual tools, especially images showing symptoms, causes, and impacts of depression proved highly effective in conveying key messages. However, low perceived need remained the main barrier to seeking care and future interventions should target improving needs for mental health care.

Program completed with active participation from government stakeholders, academicians, organizational representatives, and mental health researchers.
