Centre For Children with Intellectual Disabilities - CCID, run by VSN Center for Children with Intellectual Disabilities is a Volunteer Society Nepal run non-formal day care school for the intellectually disabled children. Ms.

Center for Children with Intellectual Disabilities (CCID), which is located at New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, Nepal is a non-profit, non-religious, non-governmental and non-formal school (organization) catering for the intellectually disabled children irrespective of race & religion. This Centre is run under management and financial support of Volunteer Society Nepal (VSN). A part of the expenditure of

this Centre is also supported by Chautara VZW (an organisation in Belgium) and occasionally by the VSN volunteers, national & international donors and well-wishers. This centre is registered with Nepal Government as “बौद्धिक अपाङ स्कूल”. Meena KC is involved with this Centre as a founder member and manager since its establishment. Currently 15 children (8 yrs and above) who are intellectually handicapped are participating in different activity classes from 10:00am to 3:00pm, Sunday thru Friday. http://volunteersocietynepal.org/our-projects/disability-center/

This is Subam Dahal , previous student of CCID. 😊 He was diagnosed from cerebral palsy ( a permanent movement disorder that appears in early childhood). He was admitted to our center when he was a toddler and now after years of hardwork and therapies,time and care his progress is truly inspiring 🤗. Subam now studies in grade 9 just like normal children, his parents are also really happy with their child's performance.💓

He is truly and inspiration for all the parents with child of same condition. Every child is gift of god ,they are blessed in one way or another, Subam is one of the example of it .

Wish you a very happy and long life ahead Subam 😀.

"Teachers Day" , one of the special occasion celebrated to remark the special contribution of teachers. It is dedicated to honouring and appreciating hardwork and guidance of teachers . Simply, it is a day that recognises the vital role of teachers in students life . 🤗

In CCID, this day was celebrated with great joy and blessings. The environment was filled with gratitude, laughter and love . Everyone was lost in the happiness of dance and entertainment. Together the program was a great success. 😁

Today was amazingly extra special day for our children as we together got to enjoy a fun-filled cinema outing. 📽️

The environment there that was filled with curiosity, wide smiles and joy truly provided peace of mind. 💕 They all got to experience the magic of big screen . As we always see their joyful faces it reminds us that everyone deserves to enjoy and dream. 😚

Asar 15: A remarkable day "Ropain Diwas" .

"National Paddy Day" or "Ropain Diwas" is a festival to celebrate the planting of rice during monsoon season. A special food eaten to remark this day is dahi and chiura.☺️

At CCID this festival was celebrated with great passion and fun. All the children's really enjoyed this day. 🙏🏼
