On WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY '23, 𝗕𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗔 𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 | 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 in association with "𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐄 (𝐓𝟐𝐓) | Let's shift to 𝙏𝙃𝙍𝙄𝙁𝙏 " conducts the Environmental impacts program.

Re-wearing clothes reduces waste and pollution, to an extent. Although it is true that every garment purchased second-hand means one less new one produced, which is important the production of clothing is costly to the environment.

Second-hand clothes are less likely to end up in landfills.

International Children’s Day is celebrated annually on June 1 in different parts of the world as an initiative for children’s well-being and rights. This day is celebrated as part of a greater cause that revolves around ending child abuse, ending the deprivation of children of their rights, and making efforts to improve the lives of children all around the world. Not to be confused with Universal Children’s Day, which is celebrated in November, International Children’s Day is almost identical to its counterpart, the only difference being that it is celebrated in June.

Menstrual Hygiene (MH) day is an annual global event which is celebrated on 28th May and makes different partners across all sectors to engage in awareness, advocacy and knowledge-sharing
around the importance of menstrual hygiene management. There are many taboos/myths related to menstruation, and this particular day aims to break all taboos and raise awareness among individual, organization and everyone who menstruate and the one who don't.
It is celebrated so that people could understand menstruation is not a curse, rather it is a gift and proper hygiene is important. MHM day brings together various organizations, individual and the media to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene management.

One of the main reasons why menstruation is a taboo and menstruation hygiene is neglected is gender inequality. Unequal rights given to men and women result in women’s voices being ignored within households and communities and in development programmes.
Due to cultural norms and stigmas, menstruating women are not allowed to use water and sanitation facilities and in some cases even excluded from home as menstruation is considered impure.
