Nepal Police has requested everyone to be careful and cautious for at least next 100 days as chances of fire (House, Office, School, College, Forest etc) are high during dry seasons and windy days. Here are some guidelines for minimizing causes of fire as well as saving lives and property:

१. आगो उत्पन्न हुने सलाई, लाइटर, ग्यास सिलिण्डर र चुल्हो बालबालिकाहरुबाट टाढै राखौँ, होसियारीपूर्वक प्रयोग गरौँ र काम सकिएपछि सुरक्षितसाथ राखौँ ।

२.विद्युतजन्य सामाग्रीहरू (हिटर, गिजर, पङ्खा, आइरन, एसि आदि) लाई काम सकिएपछि बन्द गर्ने गरौँ ।

३. एउटै पावर सकेटबाट धेरै पावर चाहिने उपकरणहरु प्रयोग नगरौँ ।

४. घरमा Fire Extinguisher राखी परिवारका सदस्यहरुलाई प्रयोग गर्ने तरिका सिकाऔं ।

५. पूजा कोठामा सिन्के र बाटेको धुप, भान्सामा कोइला, लामखुट्टे भगाउन क्वाइल बालेर छाड्ने जस्ता कार्य नगरौं ।

६. आगलागी वा धुवाँ भएको स्थानबाट बाहिर निस्कनुपर्दा घोप्टो परेर अथवा घस्रेर निस्कने गरौँ ।

७. ग्यास सिलिण्डरमा आगोलागेमा जुटको बोरा वा ब्ल्याङ्केटले सिलिण्डरलाई घ्वाप्प छोपौँ।

८. ग्यास चुल्हो बाल्नु अगाडि भान्साको झ्याल, ढोका खोली ग्यास लिक भए नभएको यकिन गरी मात्र बालौं ।

९. गाईवस्तु चरणको निम्ति राम्रो हुन्छ भनी वनमा डढेलो लगाउने कार्य नगरौँ ।

१०. वनमा पिकनिक गर्दा बालेको आगो र गाई बाख्रा चराउन जाँदा खाएको चुरोटको ठुटाहरु पूर्णरुपमा निभाऔँ ।

११. आगलागी भएको जानकारी हुनासाथ प्रहरी कन्ट्रोल १०० र दमकल सेवा १०१ मा जानकारी गराऔँ ।

Very careful

Nepal Police successfully controls the fire within 1.2 Hrs that occurred at Khusibu Nayabazar, Kathmandu due to Gas leakage caused while cooking for a wedding at a party palace. 2 fire brigades, fire extinguisher and water tankers were used to put off the fire. There was a loss of around NRs 45 lakhs. However, No human injury was reported. Further investigation is going on.
