Professional Support Service Nepal conducted School Screening program at Dashrathchandra High School, Chhatredeurali and Mahesh Dharma High School, Jeevanpur on December 9 and 10 respectively. A total of 424 students were screened during the program. Twenty four students with refractive error were provided prescription eyeglasses and students requiring medicine were provided with medication free of cost. Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital, Sinamangal provided technical support for the camp. The program was supported by NPO Hikari Kanata Fund and Yamato Foundation, Japan.

Professional Support Service Nepal organized a three day camp at Bargaun of Humla with technical support from Kathmandu Medical College. A team of 13 technical persons examined 320 patients during the 3 days camp. 273 persons had their eyes examined and received free medications and reading glasses. Similarly, 123 persons had dental consultations and 25 of them had dental extraction. 251 persons were examined by physician and 95 people were examined for the gynaecological problems. 300 patients received the physiotherapy during the three day camp.

Screening Eye Camp was organized at Jamal, Kathmandu on June 17, 2017. A total of 666 patients were screened for eye problems and were provided with medicine free of cost. The program was supported by V.Rohto.

School Eye Screening was conducted at Oasis English School, Khumaltar on Monday June 12, 2017. A total of 300 students were screened for ocular problems.

A school screening camp was organised by PSSN on 5th June 2017 at Phulchoki higher secondary school at Thaiba Lalitpur. A total of 285 students were examined. Twenty five students were found to have refractive error.

School Screening Camp was organized by PSSN on 2nd March 2017 at Saraswoti Niketan High School, Teku. 311 students from class 4 to 10 were examined, among which 61 were identified to have refractive error requiring glasses.

In Chilime of Rasuwa, Professional Support Service Nepal conducted dental camp, medical camp (in ludinggynaecology) and surgical eye camp from 8th to 10th February 2017. A total of five hundred sixty two patients were examined in the camp. Patients were residents of Chilime, Goljung, Gatlang and Pajung of Rasuwa district.

A total of 332 patients had their eye examined of which female were 208 and male were 124. Eye camp was done in collaboration with Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh. Twenty seven patients were operated for age related cataract with small incision cataract surgery and one patient underwent pterygium surgery.

Similarly, three hundred twenty eight patients with medical and gynaecological problems were examined and provided medicines. Among them, 103 were male and 179 were females. Two patients with trigger finger were released under local anaesthesia and a girl with cut wrist as an attempted su***de was sutured under local anaesthesia.

At Rasuwa, one hundred thirty two dental patients were examined of which male were 55 and female were 77. Teeth extraction was done under local anaesthesia in 45 cases of which children (less than 14 years) were 19 and adults were 26.

Similarly, more than 80 patients had acupressure therapy for chronic pain joints, back etc.
