Let’s Talk Su***de Prevention - World Su***de Prevention Day 2025
Theme: Changing the Narrative on Su***de (आत्महत्याबारेको धारणा परिवर्तन)

On the occasion of World Su***de Prevention Day, Rotaract Club of KIST Medical College, in collaboration with our sister club, Rotaract Club of Chandragiri, is hosting a Virtual Session on Su***de Prevention.

Dr. Kushal Kharel, a third-year Psychiatry Resident at KIST Medical College and Teaching Hospital, will lead this insightful session on su***de awareness.

The program will encourage open conversations around mental health, highlight the importance of recognizing struggles, and explore how each of us can play a role in prevention. It will also emphasize ways to challenge stigma, foster compassion, and create supportive environments where people feel safe to seek help.

Together, we aim to reshape the narrative around su***de and strengthen our collective commitment toward mental well-being.

One of our dearest friends, a bright and hardworking B Pharma student at KIST Medical College & Teaching Hospital, is facing one of life’s toughest battles. Recently diagnosed with Colorectal Adenocarcinoma (cancer), they are undergoing chemotherapy at Nepal Cancer Hospital with incredible courage and resilience.

While the spirit is strong, the financial burden of treatment is overwhelming. Hospital bills, chemotherapy sessions and ongoing medical expenses are creating challenges no student should have to face alone.
