HDCS-Namuna Community Hospital

HDCS-Namuna Community Hospital DHL is a project of HDCS that is noteworthy for several reasons. DHL was the first example of a public private partnership in Nepal's health sector.

HDCS- District Hospital Lamjung (DHL) is a district level hospital that Human Development and Community Services (HDCS) has been managing in partnership with the Government of Nepal. In 2001, the hospital made history for being the first government institution to be handed over to the private sector. Since 2001 DHL has been running under the management of HDCS with the support of our partners and the Government of Nepal. We have transformed the infrastructure and increased the capacity of the hospital: From a 15 bed hospital, DHL now has 60 bed as well as a range of services. In 2003, a study from the World Bank quoted Lamjung Hospital as being a "model hospital in Nepal." As a district level hospital we have high standards for DHL and we are blessed to have the support of our partners, the community, and local leaders.

सुन्दरबजार उत्थानशील परियोजना अन्तर्गत ईलाका प्रहरी कार्यालय सुन्दरबजार, नेपाल रेडक्रस सोसाइटी सुन्दरबजार, विद्याज्योति मा.वि. सुन्दरबजार र एच.डी.सी.एस.–नमुना सामुदायिक अस्पतालको संयुक्त सहकार्यमा घाइतेहरूको उद्धार तथा उपचार सम्बन्धी मोक ड्रिल (नमूना अभ्यास) कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न भएको छ।

यस्ता कार्यक्रमहरूले स्वास्थ्यकर्मी, सुरक्षाकर्मी तथा स्वयंसेवकहरूको तयारी अवस्था र स्रोत–साधनहरूको उपयोग तथा तयारी अवस्थालाई अझ स्पष्ट र प्रभावकारी बनाउन सहयोग पुर्‍याउँछन्।

कार्यक्रम सफल बनाउन सहयोग पुर्‍याउने सम्पूर्ण पक्षप्रति हार्दिक धन्यवाद व्यक्त गर्दछौँ।

“बिपद बाजा बजाएर आउँदैन, तर बिपद आउनु अघि नै पूर्वतयारी गरियो भने बिपद व्यवस्थापन सजिलो हुन्छ।”

Under the Sundarbazar Resilient Project, a mock drill (simulation exercise) on the rescue and treatment of the injured was successfully conducted in joint collaboration with the Area Police Office Sundarbazar, Nepal Red Cross Society Sundarbazar, Vidyajyoti Secondary School Sundarbazar, and HDCS–Namuna Community Hospital.

Such programs help enhance the preparedness of health workers, security personnel, and volunteers, as well as clarify and strengthen the effective utilization of resources and readiness levels.

आज अस्पतालमा सम्पन्न भएको निःशुल्क दन्त स्वास्थ्य, आँखा स्वास्थ्य तथा फिजियोथेरापी उपचार शिविरमा १३४ जना बिरामी लाभान्वित हुनुभयो । तीमध्ये ५५ जनाले दन्त, ५३ जनाले आँखा, र २६ जनाले फिजियोथेरापी सेवा लिनुभयो ।

बिरामीहरूमा दाँत दुख्ने, आँखा धमिलो देखिने, दृष्टि कमजोर हुने, शरीरका विभिन्न भाग दुख्ने लगायत समस्या प्रमुख रहेका थिए । यस शिविरबाट विशेषगरी पहुच कम हुने सर्वसाधारण, वृद्धवृद्धा तथा आमाबुवाहरू लाभान्वित हुनुभयो, जसले समुदायमा स्वास्थ्य सेवाको पहुँच विस्तारमा मद्दत पुर्‍याएको छ ।
