The centre commenced its operation from March 2004 with the agreement between Tiganga Institute of Ophthalmology and the Nepal Red Cross Society, district chapter Nuwakot. Regular Service starts from 8:30am to 2:00 pm
Extended service starts from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Available services :
- Vision and Refraction( Glass power checkup)
- Color Vision Test
- Computerized power test o

- Eye examination
- Medicine and Glass Dispensing
- Telemedicine (Retina case discussion with Ophthalmologist of Tilganga Eye Institute Online)
- Minor Surgery
- Outreach programs like Eye Screening Camps, Eye Surgical Camp conducting awareness programs in community level and providing Basic Eye Care Training to Health workers, health volunteers, teachers and more
- Retina evaluation with Diabetic patient’s eye examination
- Ocular Biometry ( Determination of Power of lens to be implanted after cataract surgery)
