It has initiated to provide healthcare services, promotive, preventive and curative services to the general population. Recently it has extended its services by taking over Lalitpur General Practice Clinic (renown as Dr. D.B. Shrestha’s Clinic), which has continuously providing the health care services since 2068 B.S. Not only this, Patan Heart Clinic has expanded its health care facility by collaborating with Nepal Diabetic and Orthopedic Upachar Center and Meri Swasthya Sewa Kendra so that the patient with women health issues, Endocrinology disorder and orthopedic issues can be addressed.

Patan Heart Clinic has got lots of super specialized doctors, a well maintained infrastructure, computerized laboratory, up-to-date diagnostic medical machines like ECG machine, X-ray, Ultrasound Machine, Echo Machine, Doppler Machine, well trained nursing staffs and other staffs. All the information about the Patan Heart Clinic is mentioned below in detail. At present Dr. Krishna Kumar Shrestha, Cardiologist from Patan Hospital and Midat Hospital is working as Medical Director along with Dr. Priti Bajracharya, Obstetrics and Gynecologist from Alka Hospital is taking care of women health issues and management. And in this camp also, Dr. Shrestha and Dr. Bajracharya is taking all the needful responsibility. 
2. Location
Nowadays Patan Heart Clinic is rendering its services from two branches. One is located in Tangal, Lallitpur-12 (Near Min Nath Temple), and another from Lagankhel, Lalitpur-6 (East of Lagankhel Bus Park). It is easily accessible as it can be reached easily with a single bus from any part of Lalitpur Sub-metropolitan city. If someone is unable to reach the clinic then one can contact the clinic number and staff will personally help to get to the clinic.
3. Rationales
It has a long history of providing health care to the people of Lalitpur and outside the Kathmandu valley since 2068 BS, having a good reputation of its quality services and community friendly approach since its establishment. Currently it has increased its capacity to 5 day-care beds along with Promotive, preventive, curative and other diagnostics services with 25 staff. Patan Heart Clinic has a basic set up of infrastructure, equipment, instruments, and social capital that can be utilized to operate a well-run clinic.

A functioning laboratory provides the investigation facility ranging from routine microscopic examination to varied blood examinations that include hematology, serology, biochemistry, immunology etc. The laboratory is equipped with microscope, automatic biochemical analyzer, hot air oven, refrigerator, centrifuging machine, and other apparatus required to conduct the examinations. Every day, there are 30-35 patients receiving the laboratory services. All the materials used in laboratory are disposable. All laboratory services including bacteriology and other specialized biochemical analysis will be made available 24 hours through the new infrastructure. Radiology
A functioning 100 MA X-ray provides basic plane X-ray to the necessary service users during OPD hours. ECG

Patan heart pharmacy dispenses different categories of OPD medicines. It also provides injectable items and non-medicinal supplies to OPD, Daycare and other units as per requirements. All the medicines are prescribed under generic names. Patan Heart Clinic pharmacy prohibits using plastic bags to carry medicines and medical supplies. All the medicines are kept in alphabetical orders in different wooden racks and they are checked for expiry in every three months, and are dispensed using FEFO method. All medicines are recorded in daily basis and kept in computerized data base system. All medicines are counted in every six months for financial auditing purpose. Day Care Services
There is one Day care Room with three beds. In an average, there are 50-60 day care patients in a month. The service is available twelve hours throughout the year. The room is equipped with ECG, oxygen, suction apparatus, pulse oxymeter, laryngoscope, nebulizer, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope etc. The room has sufficient supplies of emergency medicines like injectable drugs including narcotics, and intravenous fluids. The room is equipped with sterile surgical supplies, and disposable items. Routine Procedure
Routine surgical procedure and treatments are available in OPD hours however some emergency minor procedures are also done as per needs. All the supplies in the procedure room are sterile and/or disposables. Surgical Services

Patan Heart Clinic adopts double entry book keeping system using both manual and electronic database system. Financial auditing is done twice a year and the reports are disseminated to all the related stakeholders, district authorities, and funding partners. The admin and finance department is equipped with two computers, printers and the accounting software. All the computers are protected with licensed and updated antivirus and connected to internet and networking. General Repair and Maintenance
General repair and maintenance is done on on-demand basis by hiring the local technicians. Medical Records

	Power System
Patan Heart Clinic has a functioning power generator of 3 KVA and a backup inverter of 2 KVA. The power generator is serviced in standard time intervals by a private company. Power back up system will be upgraded through high power Solar Electrification System.
