Happy Haritalika Teej!
On this beautiful occasion of Haritalika Teej, the colorful festival of Nepali women, we extend our heartfelt greetings to all the mothers, sisters, daughters, and dear friends—both women and men around the globe.
Teej is a time when women, decorated in vibrant red saris, bangles and ornaments, come together in joy and devotion. Married women return to their maiti ghar (parental home), where they celebrate with music, dance, laughter, and heartfelt expressions of both happiness and struggle. Through these songs and gatherings, women share their experiences, joys, and sorrows openly.
Fasting on Teej is a tradition of deep love and devotion, as women observe it for the wellbeing and long life of their husbands and families. At the same time, Teej carries the spirit of togetherness, freedom, and sisterhood.
As the monsoon season comes to an end, the skies clear, and so do hearts—families reunite, friends gather, and communities strengthen their bonds. Teej reminds us not only of devotion and tradition but also of celebration, resilience, and shared humanity.
Wishing everyone a joyful, blessed, and colorful Teej!
