SEE Results Are NOT the Final Decision in Life 💯
Failure may bring temporary sadness & stress, but with the right behavior, love, and support, we can help a child grow stronger. In such times, parents play a crucial role.
👇 What to do (and avoid) if your child fails SEE — to protect their mental health:
✅ DO’s:
1. Acknowledge their feelings – Let them express sadness, disappointment, or fear. Listen without interrupting.
2. Talk positively – Remind them: “This is not the end,” “You can try again.” Emphasize effort over result.
3. Support, don’t compare – Every child’s ability is different. Help them find their interests & strengths. No comparisons.
4. Explore new paths – Discuss retakes, technical education, vocational training, arts, sports, or other career options.
5. Create a low-stress environment – Encourage outings, sports, music, art, or time with friends.
6. Seek expert help if needed – Long-term sadness, sleep issues, fear, or guilt → consult a counselor or therapist.
❌ DON’Ts:
1. No insults or comparisons – “Others passed, why didn’t you?” – such words cause deep mental wounds.
2. No punishment or neglect – No beating, phone snatching, silent treatment, or isolation.
3. No immediate study pressure – Pressuring right after results can cause psychological harm.
4. No guilt-tripping – “You disgraced our family” increases guilt and shame.
5. Parents, don’t blame yourselves too much – Your excessive guilt also makes home environment stressful.
🧠 Final Takeaway:
Failure is just a phase, not the end.
Love, patience, belief, and the right guidance can protect a child from mental trauma.
Always remember — mental health & self-confidence matter more than any result.
