Happy Buddha Purnima from the land of Buddha, Lumbini. On this sacred day, we honor Lord Buddha as one of the greatest teachers in history—whose life and teachings continue to guide humanity through wisdom, compassion, and non-violent education.

His path reminds us that true learning nurtures peace, understanding, and mindful action.
In alignment with the vision of the National Foundation for the Skill Development of Teachers (NFORSDT), Kaski, we celebrate the enduring relationship between teachers and learners. Inspired by Buddha’s approach to teaching—rooted in dialogue, reflection, and empathy. We promote education that is inclusive, transformative, and grounded in non-violence.
Through our efforts, we aim to strengthen international cooperation and friendship, connecting educators and communities across borders to learn from one another and grow together.
On this meaningful day, also marked by International Workers’ Day and the Ubhauli festival, we recognize the dignity of all who teach, learn, and contribute to society. May this day inspire a shared commitment to peaceful education, global friendship, and a more compassionate world.

ज्ञान गंगामा ज्ञानका गन्थन मन्थन

ज्ञान गंगा सेकेन्डरी स्कुलको पुस्तकालय कक्ष । शान्त तलाउ जस्ता शिक्षक सहभागीहरूको उत्सुक आँखाहरू प्रशिक्षक स्वयंसेवक शिक्षकहरूतिर सोझिएका थिए । बिहानको ठिक १० बजे कर्मफ्लाइट्स फाउन्डेसन नेपालका प्रतिनिधि कर्मसही घर्ती मगरद्वारा सर्वप्रथम सहभागी शिक्षकहरूलाई आफ्नो परिचय दिएर स्वागत गरियो ।
पुस्तकालय कक्षको कर्तलध्वनीमा NFOSRDT का बोर्ड सदस्य तथा तालिम संयोजक शिला थापाले “Teacher Training – Learning Strategies for Motivated Students”
कार्यक्रमको अध्यक्षता गर्नुभएको थियो । लगत्तै कार्यक्रमका facilitator हरू मर्निक्स एकेडेमी (नेदरल्यान्ड्स) की इसा बीरपोट, केम्पोल युनिभर्सिटी (नेदरल्यान्ड्स) की फेम्के हुइजुंगा तथा NFOSRDT का प्रतिनिधि तथा सहजकर्ता आश्मा रञ्जितलाई स्वागत गरियो ।
कार्यक्रम सञ्चालन अगाडि प्रशिक्षक टोली र समन्वयकारी सबैजनालाई विद्यालयको तर्फबाट खादा र पुष्पगुच्छा मार्फत हार्दिक स्वागत गरियो । तालिम संयोजक शिला थापा मार्फत सुन्दर मन्तव्य लगत्तै कार्यक्रम सञ्चालन अनुमति प्रदान गरियो ।
डच साझेदार इसा र फेन्केद्वारा पालैपालो शिक्षक सहभागीलाई विभिन्न शिर्षकका आकर्षक बुँदा र प्रयोगात्मक शैलीमा सिकाइका विविधतालाई प्रष्ट पारियो । यो पहिलो चरणको कार्यक्रम थियोे । जसमा सहजकर्ता आश्मा रन्जितले रोचक शैलीमा भाषाको सहजीकरण गर्नुभएको थियो । जसले सहभागी शिक्षक साथीहरूलाई विषयको अन्तर्यमा जान निकै सहज भएको महसुस भयो ।

दोस्रो चरणको शुरुआतमा इसा, फेन्के र आश्माकाे कार्यक्रमले उत्सुकता प्रदान गर्‍यो । कार्यक्रमको मध्यभागमा NFOSRDT का सचिव शशिधर बडालको प्रस्तुति दमदार रह्यो । यसले सहभागी शिक्षकहरूमा अझ रौनकता थपेको मैले महसुस गरेँ । अन्त्यमा सहभागी र प्रशिक्षकहरूबिचको प्रश्नोत्तरले कार्यक्रम रोचक घोचक भएको थियोे । सहभागी शिक्षकहरू अझ पनि प्रशिक्षणका भोका रहेको महसुस भयो । उनीहरूको उत्सुकताको तिर्खा अझै मेटिएको थिएन । यस कुराले सहभागी शपक्षकहरू आफ्ना विद्यार्थीप्रति कति चिन्तित रहेछन् भन्ने प्रष्ट पारेको छ । कार्यक्रमकाे अन्त्यमा विद्यालय परिवारले आजको तालिमका प्रशिक्षक, सहजकर्ता र समन्वकारी सबैलाई मायाको चिनो Token Of Love प्रदान गरेर विदाइ गर्‍यो ।

📚 Teacher Training workshop– Day 2 (school

On the 2nd day of our teacher training workshop, (7th Baisakh 2083 | April 20, 2026), teachers from LA Secondary School and Bal Prabhat Boarding School came together in the hall of Bal Prabhat School, Pokhara-9, Kaski.

A total of 30 dedicated teachers shared the space to learn, collaborate, and explore new ideas on motivation and classroom engagement. Facilitated by Femke, Isa, and Ashma, the sessions were interactive, insightful, and full of positive energy.

Teachers expressed how much they enjoyed the workshop and appreciated the opportunity to learn together.

On 6th Baisakh 2083, we successfully conducted a One Day Teacher Training Workshop at Bhasker Memorial School, Pokhara-11 organized by the National Foundation for the Skill Development of Teachers.
👩‍🏫 38 teachers participated, actively preparing for the new academic session despite ongoing school holidays.
🌍 Facilitated by Femke (Hogeschool KPZ) and Isa (Marnix Academie), with support from Ashma Ranjit and Prem Bahadur Kunwar
📚 Focus: Student motivation, engagement & cooperative learning
✨ Great energy, active participation, and lots of learning!

निसीखोला गाउँपालिका स्तरीय २ दिने शिक्षक तालिम सुरु
निसीखोला गाउँपालिका र KarmaFlights / NFORSDT Foundation को आयोजनामा २ दिने शिक्षक तालिम कार्यक्रम आजदेखि जुग्जाखोलास्थित गाउँपालिका तालिम हलमा सुरु भएको छ।
कार्यवाहक प्रमुख प्रशासकीय अधिकृत श्री दिलिप कुमार चन्दज्यूको अध्यक्षतामा सुरु भएको उक्त तालिममा नेदरल्याण्ड्सका प्रशिक्षकहरू Femke Huizinga र Isa Beerepoot सहित आश्मा रञ्जित र प्रेम बहादुर कुँवरले सहजीकरण गरिरहनुभएको छ।
४५ वटै सामुदायिक विद्यालयलाई आमन्त्रण गरिएको यस तालिममा पहिलो दिन ४२ जना शिक्षकहरूको सहभागिता रहेको थियो।
आजको सत्रमा डोरी प्रयोगबाट अन्तरसम्बन्ध निर्माण, energizer खेलहरू तथा “Think-Pair-Share” जस्ता सहभागितामूलक शिक्षण विधिहरूमा अभ्यास गरिएको छ।

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the board meeting of the National Foundation for the Skill Development of Teachers(NFORSDT) was held today at Bhaskar Memorial Secondary School in the gracious presence of the school’s Principal Ganesh Bahadur Rana.
The meeting, chaired by Prem Bahadur Kunwar, was especially meaningful as strong female educators Shila Thapa, Shobha Mishra Adhikari, Indira Sharma, and Femke Huizinga from Hogeschool de Kempel (The Netherlands) led insightful discussions on key educational initiatives.
The board discussed the upcoming International Teacher Training programs in Pokhara and Nisikhola, fundraising efforts for 'Teachers in Pokhara-II), and plans to establish a Teacher Resource Center( TIP) II, to strengthen professional development for teachers.
A fitting way to celebrate International Women’s Day — with women educators leading conversations that shape the future of education. 🌸

✨ 11th Annual General Assembly of NFORSDT – Building the Future of Education in Nepal ✨

On October 11, 2025, National Foundation for the Skill Development of Teachers (NFORSDT), Kaski successfully held its 11th Annual General Assembly in Pokhara. Presided by Prem Bahadur Kunwar, the Assembly reflected on a year of achievements and set ambitious plans for the future of teacher development in Nepal.

Over the past 14 years, NFORSDT has trained more than 2,200 teachers in partnership with KPZ University (Netherlands), KarmaFlights Foundation, and Shiva Shakti Campus. Recent milestones include a two-year international training program, parallel workshops in Pokhara and Nisikhola, and Dutch student-teacher exchanges that enriched local classrooms with global perspectives.

The invited guest speakers from Shiva Shakti campus and veteran educators emphasized the importance of international collaboration, professional development, and inclusive teaching practices. KarmaFlights IT Officer Subash Paudel reaffirmed his organization’s commitment as a local implementation partner, while Dutch colleagues sent warm messages of solidarity.

Looking ahead, NFORSDT announced its flagship initiative: “Dreaming Big – Teacher Resource Center & Teacher Bank in Gandaki.” This bold project will:
✅ Establish Teacher Resource Centers in Pokhara & Nisikhola
✅ Build a Teacher Bank platform for mentorship & recruitment
✅ Train 300+ teachers across 11 districts
✅ Host TIP-II International Conference 2026
The project is supported by Stichting Theole and will leverage Wilde Ganzen’s matching fund program, aiming to rise through local donors, partner schools, and international supporters.

A project planning meeting with Wilde Ganzen Project Officer Sylvia Ortega Azurduy and her team is anticipated to take place in Pokhara to solidify long-term collaboration.
Together, we are not just training teachers—we are shaping generations.
