VAGUS NERVE⭐️⭐️⭐️

To follow up on the Vagus Nerve! We have had heaps of interest regarding its release including today! This morning Poppy was experiencing trouble sleeping, some irregular breathing patterns and swallowing patterns when eating, to add on even hunger patterns have been a bit off!

We tested the vagus nerve today and turns out it wasn’t functioning to its best ability! Here is a picture of some cranial work to help release the nerve!

After it was released a huge sense of relaxation happened!

Looks like we had a little continuation of last weekend as someone (Julia) needed a spine adjusted. And well, we came to the party, and actually had a party after with those post adjustment giggles (you know exactly what I’m talking about 😂).

We were having a conversation after we all relaxed after another sauna session about the interconnectedness of the nervous system and how one end of the body can directly affect the other. And how true that is! That’s why we take a full, holistic, neurological view of your spine/body and see how and where we can best help!

Do you feel like you’re stuck in a state of stress? Fight/flight or just can’t seem to relax and have tried so many things? Well. Lately one culprit could be what we call vagus nerve dysfunction. When this nerve (which is a long nerve) and stems from the brain down to the gut, is not functioning at its best, it can affect things like your breathing, digestion, anxiety, ability to handle stress and sleep patterns. So. It does a lot!

Here are blueprint we are trained in specific cranial techniques to help release that vagus nerve and allow your brain and the rest of those functions to regulate a bit better!

If you’ve been in the clinic lately you’ve probably seen some signs up that my good friend and amazing massage therapist, Carina, from is moving to her next journey and we couldn’t be more excited for her and her to expand!

It has been an absolute honour to have begun this journey with you, and seen literally how much growth your business and you has become.

I have been getting a lot lately “what are you going to do without Carina?!” Well, she’s still around, just means some of you (Loretta), won’t hear us laughing, arguing, bickering at each other at the expense of my humour 🤣.

One of the tests we regularly do for athletic kids is checking their pelvis and making sure the nerves around the area are functioning correctly! When these nerves don’t function correctly it can lead to other areas of the body being affected…aka if one area is affected, it can lead to other areas not working due to the interconnectedness of the nervous system!

When we align the spine and nervous system, this allows the brain to talk to the rest of the body with as ease.

This is an also a classic case of kids having a great time getting adjusted and well, typical to give me some sass!

Why do we test your muscles using specific movements? What information does that tell us? WELL…

In relation to the nervous system and chiropractic, we are not testing to your fullest extent how “strong” you actually are or how much you can lift. What we are testing is specific muscle groups where their function comes from specific spinal nerves.

Therefore if one of the spinal nerves is not ‘behaving’ as it should be (much like your children at home sometimes…..:too soon?). This can impede on if you can resist or the actual strength used to resist my force.

Add this in with all the other indicators for a deregulated nervous system, and we have specific adjusting to optimize your body and mind! Part of the Blueprint way ;).

Now that it’s school holidays! Thought it would amazing to highlight some of our amazing families and kids!

When going through the new intake exam, you may see us testing balance. Why is this? When we test your balance, whether that be on one leg or two, we are looking at the integrity of the brains connection to the rest of the body. When we take vision away during the tests. It gives us some of the best information that determine how well our brains are “talking” and the quality of it.

When a kids balance, or yours, is hard to accomplish. We may see increases injuries or constant falls or tripping during everyday life or sport.

Luckily when we adjust the spine, we change the brain. And help with balance!

One of my absolute favourite ways to start a new week on a Sunday is a non negotiable trip to . As amazing the benefits are to saunas and cold plunges. The mental health benefits are just as important.

Sitting in a sauna, parked on a beach, big window, watching the ocean with like minded people and a community. Say that 3 times…can’t get much better and calming.
