Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing an outbreak of Gastroenteritis (commonly known as “gastro” or the stomach flu) within the facility.

To help protect our residents and staff, we kindly ask that you do not visit the facility at this time. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation while we work to manage the outbreak safely.

Do you enjoy meeting people, having a laugh, and giving back to the community?
We are looking for a friendly volunteer to call Bingo for our lovely residents at Terrace View Retirement Village.

Just 2 hours per week — Monday afternoons (can be 1.15-3.15pm or 2-4pm), based in Tinwald, Ashburton

This is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with older members of our community, bring smiles to residents’ faces, and make a real difference to someone’s day. No experience needed — just a warm personality, clear speaking voice, and willingness to have some fun!

Diversional Therapist wanted- 32 hours a week

We are currently looking for a caring, creative, and enthusiastic Diversional Therapist to lead our wonderful activities team at Terrace View Retirement Village.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents by creating meaningful activities, encouraging social connection, and bringing joy to each day.

What we are looking for:

• A passionate and positive person who loves working with older people
• Someone creative, organised, and able to think outside the box
• Experience or qualifications in Diversional Therapy or Activities coordination preferred- or willing to learn
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Full licence and able to drive a manual van
• Flexibility in working hours

All applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and will be required to complete police vetting as part of the recruitment process.

Terrace View Retirement Village is seeking compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistants to join our dedicated team in both casual and permanent positions.

About the role:

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily care needs, promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing. You will be supported by a knowledgeable and experienced management team committed to your ongoing development and success.

What we’re looking for:

• A caring and respectful approach to elderly care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliability and a positive attitude
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends.
• Previous experience in aged care is preferred but not essential

Important requirements:

• Applicants must have the flexibility to work over a 7-day week roster and be available to work weekends
• successful applicants will be subject to police vetting.
• Applicants must hold a current work visa or have the legal right to work in New Zealand to be considered for this role
