🌿 Part 3: Reflexology & Pain — What Happens in a Session and How to Get the Most From It
When you arrive, we’ll take time to talk about where you’re feeling pain and how it affects your daily life. You’ll then get comfortable on my massage table — shoes and socks off, blanket over you if you like. The space is calm, warm, and peaceful, helping your body relax before we even begin.
Using gentle pressure on specific reflex points on your feet I’ll work to release areas of tension that correspond to the parts of your body that are holding pain. You might feel warmth, tingling, or a deep sense of relaxation as your body starts to let go. Many people drift into a light sleep or describe feeling “floaty” and peaceful.
💡 How to Get the Most Out of Your Session:
✨️Before your session:
•Try to arrive a few minutes early so you can settle, breathe, and let go of the outside world.
•Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to fully relax.
✨️During your session:
•Focus on your breathing and allow yourself to switch off — this is your time.
•If you notice any sensations (warmth, tenderness, or energy moving), that’s completely normal — it’s your body responding.
•Let me know if anything feels uncomfortable; reflexology should always feel supportive and soothing.
✨️After your session:
• Drink plenty of water and give yourself time to rest if you can — your body continues to rebalance for hours afterwards.
• Keep track of how your pain levels and overall wellbeing shift — this helps us tailor your future sessions.
• Regular treatments can help build on your progress and support longer-lasting relief.
Reflexology isn’t just about easing pain — it’s about helping your whole system find harmony so you can move through life feeling more comfortable, calm, and connected.
