We have been spending a bit of time up the mountain so far this season and it’s been a great reminder of how tough it is on your body to do something new or seasonally.

We have been getting the kids checked more as they have been learning / re learning how to move on the snow, which has to be taxing on a growing body, or any body for that matter.

Chiropractors can help when you’re sore, but we do a lot more good when we help you stay active and well.

If you or the kids are trying out new or old winter sports getting them or yourself checked is a great idea to help their or your bodies adapt to the extra stress as well as possible.

Everything we do depends on the messages that are sent between the brain and the body via the central nervous system. The spine protects the spinal cord that is the highway of these messages.

Chiropractors check and restore proper movement and function to the joints and muscles of the spine which in turns keeps the messages between the brain and body as accurate as possible.

New Zealand has a world renowned chiropractic college (which all of our chiropractors studied at) and are having a career talk in Christchurch in June this year.

We have a few flyers in the office that have been sent to us from the college and one of our 5 chiropractors would be happy to have a chat about the process and potentially be involved with our practice to get a feel for what it’s all about.
