Did you know that shoulder pain is one of the most common complaints we see from our patients?

People who perform a lot of overhead activities are most effected - whether it be sports, work, or household activities.

Should rehabilitation exercises need to address the underlying causes of your injury, and also be specific to your activities and sports.

Our knowledgeable team will help guide you through your rehabilitation and - more importantly - prescribe the right exercises for you to not only recover but to help prevent further injuries!

While a rolled ankle or sprained ankle may seem like a minor injury, the truth is that they have the potential to be far more serious than we realise.

Research suggests that up to 30% of people who sprain their ankle develop chronic ankle instability within 12 months of the injury.

If you're keen to minimise your risk of ankle reinjury and prevent long term dysfunction, come and see the team at Podium!

With winter sports season around the corner, make sure you take the necessary steps to prepare your body for an increased risk of injury.

ACL injuries in particular, are much more frequent during the winter sports season.

Within sports like rugby, soccer and netball, this increased risk of injury is caused by more contact, pivoting and twisting.

The good news is that 50-80% of ACL injuries are preventable through agility and neuromuscular training ideally for 20 minutes, 3 times a week.

Have any question on injury prehab? Flick us a message, we're here to help!
