Our team of NZ-registered psychologists offers:
- Individual therapy
- Child & family therapy
- Psychological assessments (anxiety, depression, ADHD/ASD screening)
- Neuropsychological assessments (concussion & cognitive functioning)
- Support for anxiety, low mood, trauma, stress, and sleep difficulties
- Child & youth behavioural and emotional support

We use individualised, evidence-based approaches, including CBT, ACT, EMDR, and more.

As we wrap up the year, our team would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our clients, colleagues, and community partners for your trust and support throughout 2025. It has been a privilege to walk alongside you in your wellbeing journey.

Our practice will be closed from 22 December 2025.
We will re-open for urgent cases from 5 January 2026,
and resume all non-urgent appointments from 12 January 2026.

Recently, many U.S. states have introduced regulations that restrict the use of Al in mental health therapy, requiring a licensed physician or mental health professional to be involved.

Al cannot provide therapy independently.

What are you thoughts in this?

Jessica Gu, psychologist, had the opportunity and honour to present at the Psychological Society Conference held in Hamilton this weekend. Jessica shared findings from a longitudinal neuroimaging study examining the effects of repetitive head impacts (RHI) in adolescent male rugby players. Even without a diagnosed concussion, players can experience hundreds of RHIs over a season, and these cumulative head impacts can distrust brain functioning. From 🇳🇿 to 🇳🇱!
We are so proud of our student Tessa! She joined Auckland Mental Wellness Centre after completing her Bachelor of Psychology at the University of Otago. From the very beginning, she has brought warmth, dedication, and a genuine passion for learning and supporting others.

Now, she is taking the next exciting step in her journey — heading to Maastricht University in the Netherlands to pursue her Master’s degree in Psychology! 🎓
