💋 Respecting Lip Proportions💋

My beautiful 54 year old patient had very challenging lips with an M shaped upper lip, minimal lower lip show, and an upper lip that projected 5-6mm on profile.

By respecting the ideal lip proportions (also in respect to suiting the patient's face based on their eye shape and cheek structure), you can absolutely create a beautiful natural lip from every angle 👄.

This level of detail is able to be captured to help first assess, plan, and then demonstrate results by the amazing - i would be lost without it!

EDUCATOR

Anyone who knows me professionally knows that my two loves in my work life are treating my patients and educating. In my world, these two aspects go hand in hand 👭.

Im a better clinician due to being an educator and a better educator due to being a practicing clinician 🤓.

I am in my 12th year of injecting and over a decade of being an educator in this industry.

The skill of education is understanding different learning styles and tailoring your sessions to almost mirror your trainee whilst making them feel comfortable in the vulnerability of a learning environment. Sharing knowledge that they can them take and put into practice in their daily work life.

I love this quote from Aristotle that says, "Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work."

PROFILE BALANCING

The chin is an important facial feature for both male and female faces.

In this assistance- my patient is a very attractive young female who, from her side profile , lacked some projection and contour of her chin. This led to her expressing concern about the appearance of her jawline.

A small amount of firm filler has improved her profile, now upgrading her beauty even more to look like the best version of herself ✨️

🖤 NEW BEGINNINGS 🖤

As I'm sure my patients that have seen me recently know- I have moved house 🏠.

I moved so that Arie (my son) could get into a local primary school where they are empathetic, flexible, and welcoming of him and his neurodiversities 🧠🫶.

What this means for YOU is that there are now two options of where you can see me- Waimauku 🐮👩‍🌾🚜 and Newmarket 🧱🛍😎.

I wanted to make things as easy as possible for my valued patients to see me as I'm aware that rural life doesn't suit everyone 😉 - both locations are private, have parking nearby, and have excellent natural light so I can work my magic ✨️.

TRAIN THE TRAINER

Wow what an absolutely incredible, confronting, reflective and magical weekend ✨️

I am so proud to say i pushed myself out of my comfort zone this weekend- I injected in the clinical session with the toughest crowd i think i have ever had and i presented to the nurse and doctor faculty today with a case study of mine 🤓

thank you for being an absolute inspiration and for backing me when I didnt back myself. Thank you for being so generous with all your knowledge, i definitely accept it all 🤓! You have opened my eyes about how to be an educator in medical education and i promise I will keep doing the work and grafting the graft- I also keep my word 🙇‍♀️

thank you for this incredible weekend and opportunity- for investing into our trainer faculty. I'm sure i can speak for the collective group when i say how incredibly grateful we are.
Thank you for bringing us all together this weekend, i met and connected with many lovely human beings and talented individuals throughout Australia and NZ 🇦🇺🇳🇿.

Hi all just a wee update from me 🖤.

I've had lots of messages asking if I'm working as people have seen some clinics opening up for injectables again.

A covid safe plan has been put together by NZSCM (NZ Society of Cosmetic Medicine) and has been approved by the Ministry of Health and MPS to allow NZSCM Doctors and their staff to practice under strict infection control guidelines which include full use of PPE, short appointment times and treatments of anti-wrinkle injections to outside of the mask area only.

Unfortunately even though my oversight doctor is an NZSCM member I'm not classified as staff so until Cosmetic nurses receive specific approval from the MOH OR we move to either the red traffic light system OR we move to level 3.3 I'm unable to work 😭😭😭

As you can imagine this is unbelievably frustrating and all i want to do is return to doing what i love to do. However i will continue to be patient and keep you all updated and hope for some good news 🙏

When i do return to work all of the guidelines in the covid safe plan by NZSCM will be followed so you will be in safe hands 🖤
