This still blows my mind: BIOPTRON actually reshapes light into a Fibonacci spiral.

Most lights (like a normal lamp) send out random, “messy” light. It’s a bit like a crowd of people all walking in different directions at once.

BIOPTRON does something very different.

First step: tidying the light
The diffuse light from the halogen bulb is filtered and “lined up”, so it becomes very organised, instead of chaotic. This is called polarised light. The waves are no longer going everywhere at once.

Second step: the Fibonacci twist
That organised light then passes through a special nano-structured filter in the BIOPTRON optics.
Inside, tiny carbon molecules spin and twist the light incredibly fast, changing the orientation of the light waves.
As they do this, the light pattern is rearranged into a very specific, highly ordered design, the Fibonacci spiral (the same pattern you see in sunflowers, shells, hurricanes and even the shape of the inner ear).

Why that’s exciting for the body
Our bodies love this pattern. A huge proportion of biomolecules and living structures naturally follow the Fibonacci / Golden Ratio geometry. So BIOPTRON isn’t just shining any old light at you. It’s delivering light that has been reorganised into a pattern that mirrors the geometry of life itself.

In simple terms
BIOPTRON takes ordinary light…
→ cleans it up
→ reshapes it into a beautiful Fibonacci spiral pattern
→ and then your tissues receive this highly ordered, “nature-like” light instead of chaos.

I find this part of the technology absolutely fascinating.

Our Story

Zepter’s success story started more than three decades ago in 1986 when the company was founded with its headquarters in Linz, Austria. The first production plant in Milan, Italy, manufactured the top-quality Masterpiece Cookware and artistic Table Decorations. In 1996, the Zepter Group branched out into the market of medical devices. The purchase of the Swiss-based company, Bioptron AG, marked Zepter’s revolutionary entry into the business of light therapy.
