ConTact CARE Auckland

ConTact CARE Auckland ConTact CARE offers a gentle, hands-on approach for effectively relieving pain and discomfort in both people and animals.

Experience natural relief with Stephanie Gaia, based in West Auckland. I'm Stephanie, a ConTact C.A.R.E Practitioner based in West Auckland. My passion lies in relieving pain, aches, and supporting the recovery of both body and mind through the ConTact CARE approach. Using gentle, natural bodywork inspired by the observation of horses in the natural world, I facilitate the release of trapped body shock and facilitate the unwinding process until a complete resolution is possible. If you would like to feel better, move better and optimise your health, let's connect! 🌿✨

Here’s a little ConTact C.A.R.E truth I love sharing…

The method was first developed with animals — horses, cows, sheep 🐴🐄🐑
And that was very intentional.

Animals don’t pretend.
They don’t try to be “good clients,” they don’t arrive with expectations, and they can’t be influenced by suggestions.
Their bodies simply respond honestly… or not.

Working with animals allowed the method to grow from real, tangible changes — things we can actually feel under our hands:
pressure shifts, frozen reactions to touch… instinctive movement away from pain, natural search for ease and comfort position… instant, accurate feedback.
All of it completely free from the placebo effect.

And because ConTact C.A.R.E depends on that genuine, physical response, it can only happen in person.
This work is hands-on, grounded in presence and safety — which is why I don’t offer “remote” or Zoom sessions. My hands need to listen, for you to get results!
Real contact. Real ease.

✨ That’s the heart of it for me:
ConTact C.A.R.E — a Commonsense Approach to Real Ease.

🦴 You were born with around 270 bones!
As you grow, some fuse together — leaving 206 bones in the adult skeleton, all working as a team to support your every move.

From your first steps to your morning stretch, your skeleton is constantly adapting & balancing.

But when a bone gets hurt by surprise, it can hold on to the shock instead of releasing it — becoming “flinchlocked,” frozen in a startle-flinch pattern.
These flinchlocked bones overwrite normal function, and the rest of the body has to compensate to keep you moving.
That’s when your natural bounce and flow start to fade.

Through ConTact C.A.R.E Flinchlock Release, I help locate and release those locked bones so your body can move freely again — light, balanced, and at ease.

✨ Your skeleton knows how to move as one — sometimes it just needs a little reminder.

We had such an amazing ConTact C.A.R.E Foundation weekend — full of learning, laughter, good vibes, and good food! 💛

It’s so exciting to see ConTact C.A.R.E growing within our French and French Polynesian community. A proud moment, too, seeing the French Manuals taking shape after so much work to keep the original teachings and wording true to their essence and nature. 🌿

I’d also like to take a moment to acknowledge Simon Wright for leading the course and transmitting the original teachings with such care and dedication, and to say a big thank you to Vicky, Nadiene, and Sharleen for holding space and supporting the students throughout the weekend. 🙏✨

Merci Merci Merci 💙🤍❤️

🦴 Your skeleton is a team of 206 bones — working together every time you move.

Think about it… all the ways you use your body to enjoy life —
🏃‍♀️ playing sports
🎣 fishing
🍳 cooking
🎾 swinging a tennis racket
🛋️ relaxing on the couch
😴 even while you sleep —
your bones are constantly coordinating as one big team.

But when a bone gets hurt by surprise, it can go into a protective “flinchlock” — holding onto shock instead of releasing it. That one bone stops working as part of the team, and someone has to pick up the slack (think muscles, fascia...)
That’s when you start to feel stiffness, tension, or fatigue in unexpected places.

Through ConTact C.A.R.E Flinchlock Release, I help identify and release those locked patterns so your skeleton can move freely again — in harmony, as a team and without manipulation.

✨ When the bones move as one, the body feels light, balanced, and at ease.
