At Haven Pregnancy Support, we understand the profound pain of losing a baby, and we are here to offer compassion and support during such a difficult time. We are incredibly grateful for the wonderful services provided by Windsor Funerals. Hazel and her team provided a beautiful Farewell Cocoon for one of our families, allowing them to carry their baby with love and dignity. They also arranged a peaceful setting for the farewell, which brought comfort to those involved.

We wholeheartedly recommend Windsor Funerals for their compassionate and gentle approach to guiding families through the heartache of loss. Furthermore, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Windsor Funeral team for their generous donation to Haven Pregnancy Support, one of the services provided by Windsor Park LifeCare Trust. This support not only enhances the assistance we provide to mothers, babies, and families in our community but also reinforces our shared commitment to care and compassion in times of sorrow.

Today, we observe National Rainbow Baby Day on August 22nd to honour rainbow babies, remember those who came before them, and acknowledge each parent's journey.

After losing a baby during pregnancy or infancy, the experience of pregnancy is forever changed. A subsequent pregnancy can feel like a balancing act between happiness and sorrow, hope and anxiety. A rainbow baby is cherished and longed for, but parents who have experienced loss understand that there are no certainties. While a rainbow baby can never take the place of the baby who passed away, they deserve to be celebrated and recognised as part of the family’s journey, while always keeping the memory of their beloved baby who died in their hearts.

We celebrate with this family on the safe arrival of their precious baby girl. ❤👣

🧸 Char’s Place: A Legacy of Generosity, A Future of Hope 🧸

Growing up, Nicky watched her grandmother and Aunty Char live out the value of generosity. Their examples stayed with Nicky. Years later, after the passing of her beloved Aunty Char, Nicky was left a small inheritance. Instead of spending the money on herself, Nicky purchased a small cabin that she donated to Windsor Park LifeCare Trust and Char's Place began.

Fast forward 4.5 years - word has spread, volunteers stepped forward, many have donated baby gear, 40+ knitters and quilters regularly make beautiful handmade blankets, and over 100 parcels of baby gear are given out each year!

✨ That’s how Char’s Place was born—the Haven Pregnancy Support baby gear resource centre that offers essential items to parents and caregivers, free of charge, no judgment, just care.

Named in memory of Aunty Char and inspired by the generosity passed down through generations, Char’s Place is a testament to what happens when love is put into action.

🍼💖 To everyone who’s donated, shared, or supported this journey: you’re part of this story too.

Want to get involved or learn more about Char’s Place? Reach out—we’d love to hear from you.
