For me this year I'm embracing the cringe, seeking opportunities to collaborate and pushing myself out of my comfort zone! One thing I've come to realise in the pursuit of reaching new goals or resolutions, it's OK to take a step back and just enjoy the day and don't feel like you have to accomplish everything all at once.
My mind at work seemed consumed with all of the things on my "to do list" which seems never ending. Usually I would go home and sometimes struggle to shake off those thoughts of the things I didn't accomplish for the day. Today though after work, with the sun still shining but on its way to setting I hit up one of my best mates who's just moved back home and we hit the local wharf to pop some manus. Connecting with nature always helps to clear the mind and it was no different this time. Though my to do list is just as long, I feel refreshed and reconnected and ready to tackle it all again tomorrow.
So if you're feeling overwhelmed with your own "to do lists" or you feel like your new goals and resolutions seem like impossible tasks to complete. Take it a day at a time, go for a walk, take a cold plunge in the sea, or do something you enjoy. Let your body and mind reset and remember good things take time and your consistency will pay off in the long run!
