#1 Meditation Increases Your Self Awareness
Meditation is the best form of self study. 📝
When you close your eyes and stop focusing on the world outside of you, you are just left with your internal voice.
In meditation, we are able to closely listen to this internal voice, and understand what we truly care about and what we want in life.
Meditation starts with a deep understanding and acceptance of ourselves.
#2 It Reduces stress and anxiety 😌
So many of us are inflicted by overthinking, stress and anxiety. What if I were to tell you that the root cause of all of these is 1️⃣ thing? And it is - unresolved thoughts and emotions.
If you keep eating food for 16 hours a day, without a gap, what will happen? Indigestion, right? Your digestive system will give up.
We are doing something similar to our brain - feeding it all day long with desires, news, social media, arguments, projects. Our mind is not equipped to process all of this information. So all the unprocessed thoughts and emotions are turning into stress, anxiety and overthinking.
When we sit in meditation, even for 5 minutes, we are allowing the mind to catch-up and sort through the mountain of information.
#3 It is a source of innovative ideas 💡
The ideas that come out of deep states of meditation are often the best ones!
According to the Yogic Sciences, when we are in deep states of meditation, we come in contact with our Vigyaanamayakosha or the Wisdom body. This state is beyond the intellect and emotions and comes from a deeper space of intelligence.
