Hi everyone.
Physiotherapy is allowed to operate under level 3, but with very strict guidelines. It is not "business as usual," the MOH and Physio board have put these guidelines-summarised below about who is allowed to be seen. Otherwise, telehealth is still an option.
COVID-19 Update 21 October
Allied Health Services and Rongoā Māori services in Alert Level 3
The Ministry of Health has made some minor changes to the guidance for face-to-face Allied Health services in Alert Level 3. This also applies to rongoā Māori services.
Based on these changes we've updated our information about services that can be delivered face-to-face in Alert Level 3.
Due to community spread of COVID-19 in Alert Level 3 areas, telehealth is still the preferred option where possible. Face-to-face services are allowed where:
• Treatment cannot be delayed or carried out remotely without risk of significant harm or permanent and/or significant disability, or
• Failure to access services will lead to an acute deterioration of a known condition, or
• Delay in access to services will impact the consumer’s ability to maintain functional independence and significantly negatively impact quality of life, and
• Services can't be delivered by a similar service which is currently operating, or by clinicians already in contact with the patient for ongoing care.
Where face-to-face care is provided, appropriate screening, contact tracing, and infection control protocols must be in place.
The updated guidance is available on the Ministry of Health's website.
I am more than happy to see those that fit the criteria.
A COVID screen will be emailed to you prior to your appointment, as anyone with symptoms or those who have been in close contact with COVID-19 will not be able to attend.
Masks must be worn and please scan the QR code on arrival.
Full clean will be done between clients, these appointments have been spaced to accommodate this.
Just letting you all know I am fully vaccinated!
