MentalHealthAwarenessWeek2025 — Topping Up Together at Local Doctors

In early October, our Wellness Support Team joined colleagues across the network to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week under the theme “Topping Up Together.” Each day offered a fresh way to fill our wellbeing tanks — from uplifting messages, mindful moments, and acts of kindness, to team challenges that sparked laughter, creativity, and connection.

Across our clinics, kaimahi came together to share kai, join mindfulness and yoga sessions in reception areas, try out Zumba, and take time to get outdoors for a walk. We also saw incredible acts of kindness — from fostering kittens and gifting meals to friends, to coaching kids’ sports teams and doing small things to make others feel special.

The week was a beautiful reminder of the power of connection, community, and compassion. We discovered hidden talents, shared personal stories, and strengthened the bonds that make our team so special.

Our collective challenge now?

To keep topping up all year round — to nurture our own wellbeing and uplift those around us with kindness, empathy, and aroha.

We are humbled to partner with LIFE Community Kitchens in celebrating this milestone. Thank you for your years of service, we truly appreciate you and your amazing team.
