🌍 Official Government Response to Our Petition: Justice for Imran Khan
Friends, supporters, and advocates for justice —
Our petition, “Justice for Imran Khan,” submitted by Tree of Humanity for All (TOHFA), has now reached a major milestone. The New Zealand Parliament has officially received and presented the Government’s response to our petition, in accordance with Standing Order 380.
This means our voice — and the voices of all those calling for fairness, transparency, and democracy — has been formally heard at the highest level. 🙏
While this concludes the parliamentary stage of our petition, it marks the beginning of the next phase: continuing to raise awareness, demanding accountability, and standing for justice without fear or favor.
We invite everyone to read the Government’s official response and stay engaged as we work for justice, truth, and human rights in Pakistan and beyond.

Let Afghan Girls Learn.
For more than two years, Afghan girls have been banned from secondary school and university — the only country in the world with such a ban.
Over 1.1 million girls are being denied their future, their voice, and their basic human right to education.

This is not politics.
This is humanity.

Girls in Afghanistan dream of becoming doctors, teachers, engineers — but today, they’re locked out of classrooms and locked out of their future.

We must raise our voice because theirs has been silenced.
Please sign the petition and share it widely. Together, we can push the world to act.

Let Afghan Girls Learn: Restore Their Right to Education Now

To: The United Nations, UNESCO, UNICEF, International Human Rights Bodies, and the de facto Authorities in Afghanistan
From: Concerned global citizens demanding the restoration of girls’ education in Afghanistan

For more than two years, millions of Afghan girls have been banned from attending secondary school and university. This is one of the most severe violations of human rights in the 21st century. A whole generation of Afghan girls is being denied the ability to study, contribute to society, and build a dignified future.

By the Numbers:

UNICEF reports that 1.1 million Afghan girls are currently banned from secondary school.
Afghanistan is the only country in the world with a nationwide ban on girls’ education.

A Personal Story:
“My niece in Afghanistan dreams of becoming a doctor, but she has not been allowed to attend school for over 1,000 days. Millions of Afghan girls like her are losing their entire childhood to policies denying them basic rights.”

Education is not a privilege—it is a fundamental human right. Denying it not only harms Afghan girls but also weakens Afghanistan's future and stability.

What We Urge:

Immediate reopening of secondary schools, high schools, and universities for Afghan girls.
Protection and safety guarantee for female students and teachers.
International monitoring to ensure educational facilities operate without discrimination.
Recognition of education as a non-negotiable human right under international law.
Support programs for digital learning, scholarships, and community-based education for Afghan girls until full access is restored.
Permit international NGOs to support education safely and independently.
Ensure protection for teachers and students from harassment or punishment.

Why This Matters:

Afghan girls dream of becoming doctors, teachers, engineers, scientists, and leaders.
Education reduces poverty, strengthens peace, and empowers communities.
No society can progress by silencing half its population.
Every day that girls are kept out of school is another day stolen from their future.

A Call to Action for the World:
We urge world leaders, the UN, and humanitarian bodies to take strong diplomatic steps and negotiate—not as a political issue, but as a human issue. We also call on the Afghan authorities to act with humanity, justice, and responsibility.

Message to the International Community:
“We call on the UN, UNICEF, UNESCO, and all humanitarian partners to apply diplomatic pressure and support to restore girls’ education in Afghanistan.”

Hopeful Words:
“Education is not a crime. It is a right. Together, we can be the voice Afghan girls are not allowed to raise.”

The TOHFA team was honoured to attend the Refugee Alliance Annual Hui today.

We were joined by Members of Parliament who shared strong support and encouraging messages for the refugee community. During the hui, we raised key advocacy points, including:

Family reunification

Equitable access and opportunities for refugees

We also offered TOHFA’s volunteer support for future initiatives and collaborative efforts.

The hui opened with a beautiful karakia led by a Māori kaumātua, setting a respectful and meaningful tone for the day. The event continued with great kai, constructive discussions, and valuable networking with community leaders and organisations dedicated to refugee wellbeing.

TOHFA remains committed to standing with refugee communities and advocating for fairness, dignity, and unity.

Together, we continue to build a stronger, more inclusive community for all.

Honoured to attend was at the Annual Peace Symposium 2025, hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community NZ, on the theme:
“Persecution and the Moral Responsibilities of the Global Community.”

It was a privilege to share the stage with:
✅ Hon. Mark Mitchell – Minister of Police
✅ Dr. Melissa Derby – Race Relations Commissioner
✅ Hon. Rima Nakhle – Member of Parliament (Takanini)
✅ Imam Asif Munir – Minister of Religion, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamā’at NZ

My message was simple:
➡ Persecution anywhere is a threat to peace everywhere.
➡ Moral responsibility belongs to each of us — to speak out, protect the vulnerable, and restore dignity.

Grateful to the organisers for creating this platform to promote peace, mutual respect, and justice.

TOHFA’s Food Security & Climate-Smart Agriculture Programme helps rural and urban communities secure food systems threatened by land degradation, drought, and floods. We combine traditional wisdom with modern sustainability to ensure that every family has access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food — in line with SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and UNCCD Land Degradation Neutrality.

Key Actions

🌾 Farmer Training & Demonstration Farms – Hands-on sessions in Parachinar and north-western Pakistan on organic fertilisers, soil regeneration, and efficient irrigation.

🌿 Climate-Smart Crop Planning – Promotion of drought-tolerant seeds, crop diversification, and regenerative farming methods.

💧 Water Conservation – Rainwater harvesting and low-cost drip systems to preserve scarce resources.

👩🏽‍🌾 Women & Youth in Agriculture – Equal access to training, tools, and micro-enterprise opportunities.

🌍 Community Gardens in New Zealand – Migrants, refugees, and youth learn to grow fresh produce sustainably and share cultural food knowledge.

Outcomes

Increased household food security and nutrition.

Improved soil and water health.

Reduced deforestation and land degradation through sustainable land management (SLM).
