Pigmentation is one of the most misunderstood skin concerns we see in clinic.
Not all dark spots are the same, and not all approaches work the same way. Melasma, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and sun damage each behave differently, which means they often require different strategies.
One of the most common patterns we see is over treating. Stronger does not always mean better. Aggressive products can increase inflammation, and inflammation can contribute to more melanin activity in the skin.
Consistency, barrier support, and daily sunscreen are non negotiable when managing pigmentation. UV exposure stimulates melanin even on cloudy days, which is why protection is just as important as correction.
The appearance of pigmentation can be improved with the right plan, but it requires patience and a considered combination of in clinic services and home care, following consultation.
If you are unsure what type of pigmentation you have, start with a professional assessment with our nurses before layering products.
Save this for later, and share it with someone who needs to see it 🖤
