Especially water.. 🌊 a strong message about cleansing and releasing my emotions.
I really love this and shows how far I’ve come, using my subconscious to create is very powerful. The inner ‘Truth’ is always unfolding.

(So far, I can only see it’s sold in the US)

This is very cool, love that it comes with different emotion stickers too.

Mattel’s Barbie brand just launched its first mental health career—and they chose to show Barbie as an art therapist! AATA hopes Art Therapy Barbie will give parents and caregivers an opportunity to talk about mental health with kids and explore the power of art-making in wellness.

Expressive Art Workshops

Hi I'm Bernadette and I'm running a workshop called ‘Expressive Art - To Heal Grief and Loss’ based in Auckland, New Zealand. I noticed the lack of support in the community for those people wanting to connect and heal with other people after a loss. I am also going through the stages of grief after losing my Mother to Cancer in Dec 2017, I found that it was hard to reach out to people or find people to open up to about my grief.

I’m originally from London, UK and didn’t have any family around when I went through my loss, it became quite isolating and therefore wanted to create a space for people who are also going through the challenges that loss entails. I trained in Art & Design and I have a BA (Hons) in Textile Design, this is not Art Therapy but I use Expressive Art to help assist healing. I believe creativity can be used to express deep and painful emotions.

I’ve started to use Art as a way to express my grief and sorrow and thought that others would benefit too, as a way to heal after a major loss in their life. There isn’t many Grief support groups in Auckland and wanted to bring a group of people together to use creative methods and spontaneously create images/artwork using art mix media such as collage, paints and pencils.

I hope to share my journey through Art as I open up using creativity as a way to heal. Please see my page for workshops.
