Endo Warriors Aotearoa in collaboration with researchers at the University of Otago, will be conducting a research study to investigate the effects of medicinal cannabis on endometriosis-related pain. The study aims to recruit up to 30 participants in Aotearoa who are seeking to use medicinal cannabis prescription for the first time to help with symptoms of endometriosis, this information will be used for research at the University of Otago.
*Participants must be between 18-50 years of age,
* Participants must have been diagnosed with endometriosis/chronic pelvic pain, or been advised by their doctor that they suspect they have endometriosis/chronic pelvic pain.
*Participants must never have been previously prescribed medicinal cannabis
Data collection will involve participants completing a quality of life questionnaire, a pelvic pain score, and a symptom questionnaire once a month for the first 3 months of their prescription. Participants will also be invited to take part in a final interview with the researchers at the end of the study. The interview will involve discussing their experiences with seeking medicinal cannabis such as dosage and administration, use of other pain management, and social, mental, and physical health.
1. Endo Warriors will pay for your appointment(s) with CannaPlus only
2. Contact Claire Henry Claire.henry@otago.ac.nz to participate
3. Study participation will include a range of questionnaires, surveys and invitation to interview after 3 months of their first prescription

5. Participants will receive a koha of a $250 grocery voucher or prezzy card at the end of the study
By doing this research study we hope to be able to provide our medical system with a better understanding of how medicinal cannabis (CBD oil and/or vaporized flower) can help those with endometriosis and/or chronic pelvic pain and enable them to feel comfortable to prescribe these medications.
