What powers the vital processes that bring your physical body alive, giving it the dynamism to move and breathe?

What regulates your senses and the way you perceive, think and act?

Regular practice of the breathing technique is a powerful way to build life force energy in the body that can be used for healing and deep cellular rejuvenation.

Our Spine - Our Health!

Ever wonder why the term "backbone" is used as a metaphor symbolising strength, firmness, reliability, or the foundation and most substantial/sturdiest part of something?

Anatomically and physiologically we all know that our spines, or backbones, are our body's central support structure. It connects different parts of our musculoskeletal system and helps us to sit, stand, walk, twist and bend. The spinal column is an important channel for all the bodily stimuli that are transferred via the nerves to the brain. It is part of our central nervous system along with the brain.

But there is much more to our spine than just the physical aspects. It is the seat of major energy meridians, chakras, neurons and the spinal cord. On a spiritual level, the spine is the source of all our energy. It is where the major energy channels or nadis in our body lie.

In Sanskrit, the spine is referred to as Meru Danda. Meru also means the sacred mountain Meru from the Hindu Mythology, which was considered to be the axis of the Earth having an entire solar system revolving around it. In other words, the spine is the axis for the human body, which acts as a connecting link between Earth and Heaven. It defines the quality of our lives.

When was the last time you connected with your spine care?
