At SALA, it’s more than physical movement, it’s social impact, and collective change.

Some causes we’re standing behind right now:
🌀B416, advocating safer digital experiences by raising the age of social media to 16.

🌀Art history in schools, because creativity is culture. Removing art history means removing the lens that teaches critical thought, empathy, and perspective.

🌀The Mega Strike for health + education workers, because those who care for our minds and bodies deserve to be cared for too. We stand with the teachers, nurses, and support staff who keep our communities strong.

Movement is just the beginning.

Welcome to Spring Equinox. The wheel of time turns, carrying us to the equinoctial point, where day and night are held in perfect balance.

Here in the South, we welcome spring and the quiet reflections this season offers. A season to begin again, to lean into growth, to remember the possibility blooming within us.

This is the perfect time to try something new, be it barre or sound healing. It may be the moment to bring a personal goal to the forefront of your practice: to run at a certain pace, or to gently work towards a yoga pose you’ve always secretly wished for.

Spring is the invitation to awaken the unlimited potential within us, to remember that blooming is not defined by achievement, but by the courage to begin again and again.

The BOSS Great Wall is one of the largest known structures in the universe, a vast web of galaxies stretching billions of light-years, connected like cosmic threads weaving the fabric of space itself.

For SALA, it’s a reminder that we too are part of a larger web, every class, every breath, every drop of sweat is a filament connecting us to one another, ourselves and the vastitude of it all.

Mother Earth’s Plantasia, by Mort Garson (1976.) A cult classic, composed specifically for plants to listen to.

The spring feeling in the air got us listening to it on repeat in the studio at the moment. 🌱

Aotearoa Dreaming. Fashion Week offered more than garments and adornment, it invited us to question how we arrive, how we carry ourselves, and the quiet ache to be witnessed in our truest form. Head to the journal to read our thoughts on FW2025.
