Supporting someone through addiction can feel exhausting and overwhelming. You want to help - but it’s easy to slip into patterns that protect the behaviour instead of the person. 💛

Here are 5 gentle ways to help without enabling:
1. Encourage professional support, even if it’s hard to hear.
2. Avoid giving money that fuels the behaviour.
3. Be clear about what you will and won’t tolerate at home.
4. Follow through on boundaries calmly and consistently.
5. Take care of yourself - counselling, peer support, or a trusted friend can make a big difference.
