Every person’s cancer journey is unique.

For some people with early-stage cancers, doctors may choose to monitor the cancer instead of starting treatment right away.

When treatment is needed, surgery is often the main option and may be the only treatment required.

Some people also have treatments before surgery (to shrink the tumour) or after surgery (to lower the risk it comes back).

💡Reminder: Keep up with recommended screening tests, and routine GP check-ups.
See your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms.

That’s why it’s important to keep up with recommended screening tests, attend routine GP check-ups, and see your

Cancer staging helps doctors understand how far a cancer has grown or spread, as well as how best to treat the cancer and what the outlook or prognosis might be.

Most types of cancer are grouped into stages, numbered from 1 to 4 with some starting at Stage 0. However, some cancers use different staging systems, which may have differences in how stages are defined and named.

Detecting cancer early may make a difference - so its important to keep up with recommended screening tests, attend routine GP check-ups, and see your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms.

About 10-20% of breast cancer cases are found to be triple-negative breast cancer.*

This type of cancer is more common in women under 40 years of age, as well as those with a BRCA1 gene mutation.^

It's important to be aware of how your breasts normally look and feel, this can help you notice any changes early. Most changes aren’t cancer, but if you notice anything unusual, consult your doctor.ª

Talk to your doctor for more information.
