Rhomboids can cause a lot of discomfort for a small muscle, working on computers can cause a lot of pain in this area. It is usually working against the shoulders rolling forward which can cause fatigue/burning pain between the shoulder blades.

Massage can help to relieve the pain and reduce the trigger points.

Appointments available in Mairangi Bay & Laingholm.

This is a picture of a group of muscles called your Deep 6 lateral hip rotators. They sit directly under your Glute Max and turn your hip/foot outwards. When any of these get tight, they can fire pain into your hip, down your leg (sciatica), or make you feel like your bum is clenching & won't let go.

Massage can help release them & relieve pain.

Glute Max is the thickest muscle in your body & should be the main muscle for leg extension (squeezing your bum when you stand up from a squat) BUT it will happily coast along and let your hamstring do the work. Trigger points in glute max can cause lots of lower back & hip pain, massage can help.

Strong glutes and core protect your lower back from injury, and stop your little QL muscle from overloading.

QL (quadratus lumborum) is a little muscle in the lower back that can have a huge workload, especially if core muscles aren't firing properly. It arches your back, twists side to side, hikes your hip up for walking and supports your back when you lean forward or lift things up from the ground.

Massage can help to release trigger points and relieve tension. A postural analysis can also help us work out which muscles are working too hard & which need to work harder.
